Deep dark brown with light brown head, smell of roasted malt. Slight taste of dark chocolate and coffee, not as strong as I would expect from a mocha porter. Has mild hop bitterness for a nice finish on the palate. I really like this beer, although not as bold as would prefer, still a great tasting beer.

Not much head when I poured this out of the bottle (i love the light blue color on this Rogue bottle.) Fairly good porter. Plenty chocolate and coffee flavor. Has a slight smell of smoke. A full body taste. Strong bitter aftertaste.

12oz bottle poured into pint glass Aroma - Roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Appearance - Dark brown with ruby tinges. Quickly diminishing 2 finger tan head. Thin lacing on glass. Flavor - Toasty malt with more coffee than the smell would indicate; bittersweet chocolate. Slight floral and citrus on finish. Palate - Medium with a somewhat crisp carbonation. Well balanced, doesn’t linger like some porters. Overall - One of my favorite American Porters. The ABV is @5%, so I’m having another!

Off white brown head poured at flying saucer. Molasses, coffee aroma. Good bitterness balanced well with the malt. If you're looking for a good roasted coffee and nutty porter this is not the one. However for a bitter porter with decent malt this is good. Malty and sweet at the beginning and long bitter aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

This was very delicious. Strong coffee flavor, as the name implies. Ill have to try more from this brewer.

Dark chocolate and coffee aroma. Pours a deep dark brown and makes a fluffy light brown head. Mocha latte flavor is subdued by strong bittering. Medium/light on the palate. A decent porter.

12 oz bottle. Poured a dark brown black, slightly cloudy in the leavings. Average carmel colored head - fizzy - mostly diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma was small on this one; some cocoa, mild coffee, cola, and alcohol - odd for the low abv. Good smells, but they could have come on a bit stronger. Nothing wrong, but nothing special. Lightly sweet, moderately bitter, aftertaste of coffee. Medium bodied at best - a little thin for a porter. Fizzy carbonation. This is the least noteworthy beer I have had from Rogue.

A nice dark chocolate colour. Nice mocha aromas and flavours. A very nice and enjoyable beer.
