Black brown porter with a slight tan head. Good flavor and balance of hops. Easy drinking dark beer.

A colablack beer with a weak and beige head. The nose has coffee, balancd roastiness, hint of liquirice, and fruits. Taste has coffee, herbs, some fruits, nice bitterness. Almost medium bodied, low carbonation. More strenght for the body would be needed, now too light. Good beer but nothing more.

Dark, almost black pour with foamy cream colored head. Smells like black coffee with a hint of chocolate undertone. Tastes nutty with hint of chocolate and finishes with a slight bitterness of black coffee. Not unpleasant, but more coffee than chocolate flavor and definitely not as mellow-sweet as other chocolate beers out there.

Bottle 12 fl.oz from erzbierschof.ch. Black beer with aromas of mocha, roasted malt, cacao powder, licorice and sappy note. The mouth is silky, firm and roasted, coffee and bitter chocolate. Bitterness of burnt and hops are melted. Pleasant and dry, we are not far from a Stout there.

12oz brown bottle from Whole Foods into Spieglau glass. It poured an opaque dark brown colour with long-lasting beige foam, nice lace. Low but pleasant aromas: brown bread, toast, woodsy Fuggle-ish English hop traits. Flavour was fuller: malty, caramelly, bready and toasty again, strong berry fruitiness and red wine tannic notes. Tart with a very dry finish. Medium body and carbonation, balance brown ale aftertaste. I see they formerly used Centennial aroma hops, which would’ve given it a more American profile. As is, this was an extremely authentic London Porter, reminicent of Fullers or Meantime. Good stuff.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a thick tan head that fades slowly to ample lacing. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt and dark chocolate. Taste of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt and a bit nutty. Distinct bitterness and a dry finish. Solid body, smooth with a robust character. Very well balanced. Enjoyable beer, nice example of the style.

lovely coffee, cery full... low on carbs and a bit of a watery texture, it lacks some body, but the aroma is awesome

Dark brown to black pour. Nose of faint cholate and light roast with milf dark fruit. Flavor is coffee roast with some chocolate and mild fruit. Nutty. Overall, a solid porter.

355ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours clear dark brown, red tinged, long lasting beige head. Aromas of coffee and chocolate, as expected. Taste had a light fruity note, more coffee. Good body for the strength. Roasted bitter finish. Nice.

Pours a brown slightly unclear beer with a small tan head. Smells malts, chocolate. Tastes chocolate, roasted and malts. Fizzy carbo, thin body and a sticky texture.
