3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle (650ml). Poured black with a good sized, tanned, frothy, head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was of toasted malts, with full cream milk chocolates, coco, black coffee, toast and roasted hazelnuts. Strong notes of black coffee in the flavor was a decent level of earthy hop bitterness, bitter dark chocolate, a pleasant milky/lactic/sour notes and hints of leather and nuts towards the finish. Medium bodied with medium carbonation, a dry mouthfeel, chewy texture and a long dry finish.

Á in de Wildeman. Afskaplega mjúkur, glasið er bara 25cl og ég vildi að það væri helmingi rýmra. Já og það væri meira í því líka.

I likes this beer enough to clone it. Unfortunately, my clone wasn't very close. This is much better

Pours dark brown, opaque, with a mild tan head. Leaves a bit of lacing in the glass as it goes down. Aroma is metallic, which turned me off. Has a bitter coffee taste on the front end with a creamy back end. Not a bad porter.

Itís hard not to be intrigued by an ale with the name of Mocha Porter. For myself, I had my doubts that Rogue would be able to capture the taste of mocha. And if they did, I was ready for it to be too intense and sweet. Iím very happy to say that I was wrong. This porter has a smell and taste that hints at the creamy, chocolatey characteristics of mocha. Yet, the moderately strong hop profile enhances the coffee flavors and adds reserved bitterness to keep this beer from being cloying. Honestly, Iím extremely impressed with this beer. The appearance and taste tell you that youíre clearly drinking a porter, but the milk chocolate note from the malt lets you know that thereís something special about this beer. Itís a feat of balance and novelty. I just wish I had another...

Let røget smag i begyndelsen hvorefter toner af kaffe breder sig i munden. Smagen lægger sig godt i ganen. Er mild i smagen uden at blive flad

Has a pretty nice coffee aroma. Itís a little watery (to be expected from a porter) but has a decent flavor with a little hops.

Pours dark with medium head. Aroma: a lot of coffee, roasted malt and a bit of American hops. Taste: similar to aroma with nice bitter finish. Palate: quite full body and creamy. Good, aggressive porter.
