nice hint of chocolate is blended with a balance of light roasted malt for a really nice porter that continues my respect for Rogue Brewery

Bottle at home from drinkstore. Pours dark brown with reddish hue. Nice foam tan head. Aroma is coffee, dark chocolate, charcoal, wood, vanilla and a bit of star anise. Flavour is light coffee, lactose, wood, charcoal with dry chalky chocolate aftertaste. Low carbonation. Crisp on the pallete but overall a really good low abv porter.

Bottled. Great shit,a really fucken good Porter. The coffee textures are there but not too relentless on the palate, roasted ,chocolate and some floral hops. Wow.

Bottle of unknown date. Pours a deep brown/black with little head. Aroma is dark roast coffee and some faint caramel/cocoa. Taste is bitter, thin...more bitterness than expected. Smooth, clean finish.

650 ml bottle. Pours a ruby reddish black with a beige head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, mocha, smokey, roasty. Flavor is coffee, chocolate. Finish is bitter roast and chocolate. Lingering on...light body, watery mouthfeel, average to strong carbonation.

12 oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Pours black, nearly opaque with a small tan head. Smells of espresso, chocolate, roasted malt, and non distinct hops. Tastes of coffee, light chocolate, and roasted malt. Finishes moderately dry with a medium body for style. Decent beer, not my favorite of it’s style.

W aromacie oprócz dość przewidywalnej mlecznej czekolady z lekkimi nutami czekolady truflowej występuje wyraźna oliwa, a nawet suszony pomidor. Dziwne, ale bardzo przyjemne! W smaku już bardziej klasycznie, co nie znaczy, że gorzej: kremowa konsystencja, mleczna czekolada, raczej wytrawne, lekkie i pijalne.

Bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours dark with nice roasted aroma. Very subtle coffee coming through, if at all, but bears a nice roasted porter character. Decent.
