3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Single bottle. Poured as dark as you’d expect, with a thin tan head that dissipated quickly but not quite entirely, hanging around to leave a few spots of suds on the glass. Noted a bit of sweet, malty aroma. Feels surprisingly thin and light in the mouth. Bitter but not hoppy, with chocolate as the dominant taste, followed by toasted nuts. Good but kind of ordinary, though perhaps my expectations for this were unrealistically high. Tastes almost burnt, honestly. I can think of a dozen porters off the top of my head I prefer, but that’s not to say Rogue Mocha Porter isn’t good or worth trying. Personally, I’m kind of glad I only bought one bottle in a mixed six pack.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle from Lacey Spirits. Pours a thin brownish/black color with a thick frothy dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate malt, caramel, old coffee, and some vanilla. Taste is earthy, with notes of bitter black coffee, chocolate, and caramel. Had low hopes after the aroma, but taste is pretty solid.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Un porter de 5,3 % abv, soit un peu plus que mentionné sur le site.
Couleur noir intense, opaque.
Arrière-bouche dense, complexe, longue.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance: pours with a smaller tan head, the beer is a very black color and it's really hard to even see any color on the edges
Aroma: strong coffee, chocolate,
Taste: coffee, moderate sweetness, lighter bitterness,
Palate: average carbonation, medium mouthfeel, bitter coffee aftertaste
Overall: a solid porter, leans more to the sweet side than the bitter side but still not overly sweet, I like it

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
The beer starts fresh and malty-roasted. Fresh and smooth. Hints of sourness, dry and malty, nice roast. The bitterness is not too intense, but nice. Dark dry roast in the aftertaste. Nice but not too deep.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from the National Winter Ales Festival, Derby. Pours deep brown, almost black with a cream head. The aroma is mocha, as you would expect. The taste is coffe and chocolate also with some light spice. The body is a bit on the thin side. Otherwise very good and goes down very easy.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours dark brown, thin beige foam. Looks kind of transparent although it is too dark to see through. Aroma has some toffee, coffee and roast malts. Sweet dark fruits also there. Taste is nicely hoppy, dark fruits, dried figs and plums are really evident, hop bitterness strong at first, later giving way to lingering roast burnt bitterness. Actually better than I expected, not a big fan of low alcohol coffee beers but this one is really enjoyable. Not much coffee there though.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From 345 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with lighter highlights at the edge and a small but collapsing latte-coloured head. Aromas of raisins, coffee, baked apple, vanilla and chocolate, though lighter than expected. Taste is gentle dried fruit at first but soon overtaken by a firm black coffee bitterness sweeps in. Some chocolate and vanilla and a hint of tobacco at the end. Light bodied but with a nice underlying creaminess. Light fruity aftertaste. Very decent porter.
