3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Single bottle. Poured as dark as you’d expect, with a thin tan head that dissipated quickly but not quite entirely, hanging around to leave a few spots of suds on the glass. Noted a bit of sweet, malty aroma. Feels surprisingly thin and light in the mouth. Bitter but not hoppy, with chocolate as the dominant taste, followed by toasted nuts. Good but kind of ordinary, though perhaps my expectations for this were unrealistically high. Tastes almost burnt, honestly. I can think of a dozen porters off the top of my head I prefer, but that’s not to say Rogue Mocha Porter isn’t good or worth trying. Personally, I’m kind of glad I only bought one bottle in a mixed six pack.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Fantastic fragrance, great dark(but a bit short) aroma. Medium body, hints of coffee (surprise) the taste itself isn’t really that "clear", only the aftertaste is "clear", sad...

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
undated 12 oz. bottle served in pint glass (from notes).
pours a nearly black, opaque and (I think, although it is too dark to be sure) hazy liquid with 2 fingers of tan foam. The head has good retention.
A surprising level of hops, which actually dominate the aroma. Upon tasting, their bitterness is more evident than other hop flavors; and a hop-induced bitterness lingers in the finish. There’s a strong roasted malt flavor mid-taste. Notes of expresso, burnt toast and dark chocolate. Overall, this definitely has more bitterness than malty sweetness, and is richly flavored even for the style.
M - creamy smooth with good carbonation; medium body

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
35,5cl bottle, BB 11/2014 but bought May 2015 and consumed in August. Pours dark ruby with average creamy lasting light brown head. Good lacing, lightly cloudy particles. Heavy malt presence. molasses, coffee beans, mocha, roasted. Light hops presence. Notes of dry fruits, sour-bitter finish reminding me of rich mocha coffee aftertaste, lively carbonation, creamy medium to full body, sweetness unfolds as time passes by. A very fine example of its kind.
