Single bottle. Poured as dark as you’d expect, with a thin tan head that dissipated quickly but not quite entirely, hanging around to leave a few spots of suds on the glass. Noted a bit of sweet, malty aroma. Feels surprisingly thin and light in the mouth. Bitter but not hoppy, with chocolate as the dominant taste, followed by toasted nuts. Good but kind of ordinary, though perhaps my expectations for this were unrealistically high. Tastes almost burnt, honestly. I can think of a dozen porters off the top of my head I prefer, but that’s not to say Rogue Mocha Porter isn’t good or worth trying. Personally, I’m kind of glad I only bought one bottle in a mixed six pack.

Strong coffee flavor with a stiff bitterness. Also has an unpleasant and overpowering metallic flavor. Not awful but there are much better/smoother mocha porters out there.

Poured in a pint glass. Color is a dark brown with a thin tan head. The aroma is a sweet malted barley with hints of chocolate. The upfront taste is a nicely roasted malt with a chocolate finish. Overall a very good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle from BevMo. Dark brown with a small light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, toasted malts, a bit of caramel and coffee. Taste is bittersweet chocolate, toasted caramel and coffee grounds. Backed by a resiny hoppiness that comes through as slightly acidic. Medium bodied with a light texture, dry finish and slightly higher than average carbonation. Could have easily been richer but they kept it drinkable. Love the low ABV.

Incredibly luring aromas. Very rich, roasted mocha flavours with enough small, sensitive bubbles. All in all this is an excellent beer with a rich coffee taste. Not perfectly full bodied in mouth, a bit watery. But still strong taste... Almost perfect.

Close to black body with a red tint. A quite large, creamy and rather dense, very long-lived, light-brown head that laces the glass well. Strong aroma of massive chocolate, roasted malt, dark caramel and faint fruits. Strong flavour of dry and bitter chocolate that lasts into the long finish. Also a nice fruity background and hints of ash. Light sweet and moderate to light bitter taste. Mid-bodied, quite dry and with a moderate carbonation. Good stuff.

Bottle. Dark brown/black with small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, malt sweetness, and light roasted malt. Medium/light body, strong roasted malt, coffee, medium hop bitterness, and dry burnt/astringent malt finish.

Good looking beer in the glass. Dark brown beer with shades of ruby/tawny port. Nice thick mocha head. Aromas are mocha, dark chocolat. I get a lack of complexity on the nose. Taste and mouthfeel are very narrow. Light body, watery mouthfeel, big lack of complexity again. Enjoyable in it’s own style but not my cup of tea.
