35,5 cl bottle @ Kahdet Kasvot. Rated on 24.04.2009
Aroma has mocha, some licorice and hints of milk chocolate. Flavour is slightly sweet with mocha, semi‐dark chocolate, some toffee and licorice. Good.

Pours dark brown/black with big beige head. Aroma is very creamy, coffee, cocoa, caramel, some malts. Taste is also coffee-creamy, a bit milky, some sweetness and roasted bitterness. Quite watery and easy to drink. Little bit too balanced for me, but otherwise very nice easy drinkable coffee porter.

Bottle, 330ml. pours dark brown - black. Head is short pale beige. Nose is lovely, sweet dark malt, cherries, ripe fruit, caramel, slight hop scent, not much roasted scent. Mouth feel is watery with medium-thin body. Carbonation is soft bot notable. Tastes strongly bitter, mostly hop bitterness and slight roasted bitterness. Slightly sweet, very lightly acidic. Flavors of bitter hops, roasted malt, cherry, slight coffee-chocolate notes, some caramel. Nice, quite bitter, but not too much so, flavor is nice, but not very complex. Not highly roasted for a porter. Nice and strong overall.

Subtle chocolate, coffee and vanilla. I prefer their chocolate stout but this is very good.

330ml bottle at the Head of Steam, Durham. Dark in colour, pours with a thin off-white head. Aroma of black olives and dark chocolate. Burnt coffee, chocolate, and black pepper make up most of the flavour. Readily drinkable, with a smooth and pleasant texture.

Bottle in Jerusalem. Poured into wine glass at room temperature. Don’t have good lighting here, so the appearance is pretty black with no carbonation visible. Big three fingers of fluffy head that’s slow to settle and leaves lots of lacing in its wake. Aroma is rich roasted malt, brazilian nuts, some coffee, chocolate, prune, leather, toasted bread crust, yeast. That earns it a 10. Mmmm, taste does not disappoint -- rich roasted nuttiness, vanilla, sweet coffee, bitter chocolate. Finishes with a milky sweetness. Delightful. Body is medium-to-full, texture is...soothing? Soft and coats the mouth. Carbonation is soft. This is a home run of a porter and one I’ll be returning to.

Bottle. Deep brown with a small beige head. Aroma of coffee, cocoa, roasted and burnt malt. Moderate sweet, flavors of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, earthy hops and roasted bitterness. Medium-bodied, relatively strong carbonation. Nice.
