Coffee and chocolate, just as advertised. Harsh....YET smooth. Calm while being excited. MEAN. Fierce. A sparkle in my mouth that reminds me of tiny little explosions.... BUT! where is that aroma? smells like nothing stench stewed in a pot for hours.

Bottle, 355 ml from Pivoljub, Ljubljana. Pours black with brownish head. Roasted malts and coffee aroma. Coffee, milk chocolate flavor with bitterish finish. Light bodied. Somehow I expected more.

From bottle. Pours almost black with beige head. Aroma: coffee, black malts, chocolate and milky note. Taste with coffee on the first place, sour from dark malts, coffee stays very long. Medium mouth feel. Too high carbonation.

12oz bottle from Mitsuya’s in Asagaya. Poured into a snifter. Dark brown color with a modest tan head. Chocolate and toffee aroma with a slight hint of roasted coffee beans. Tastes of toasted cacao nibs, dark caramel and still only a hint of coffee. Watery mouthfeel with a lot of fine carbonation. Slightly bitter finish.

12 oz bottle. Pours a soda brown with a small light tan head that leaves a bit of spotty lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate, toasted malts, raisin, hints of caramel, licorice and coffee. Taste is unsweetened baker’s chocolate, toasted caramel malts, hints of coffee. Backed by a resiny dank hoppiness that comes through as slightly acidic. Quick finish of cocoa and toasted malts. Medium bodied with a disappointing thin, watery texture and slightly higher than average carbonation. Not bad, but not the level of quality I expect from Rogue.

A little whiff of chocolate. Light taste of chocolate. Some cocoa but also watery. Okay bitterness in the aftertaste that fills the upper part of the mouth to a weak moment. Good beer but too watery. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is chocolate and caramel, but not a whole lot of coffee. Flavor is more bland, similar to the aroma but more diluted. Finishes with a surprising bitterness that isn’t entirely pleasant. Just okay.

Pours black with a thick tan head. Aroma is cocoa, coffee, licorice. Taste is dark chocolate and cocoa powder. I would definitely drink this again.

KeefOz (1007) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - FEB 6, 2015
Poured an opaque black colour with a wide mahogany edge tint and a few millimetres of tan foam for a head that retained poorly and laced poorly. Carbonation moderate to high and fine. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, chicory and sweet treacle. Taste of roasted malt, dark chocolate, mild mocha and with a metallic tang. Medium body but a bit thin for a porter. Smooth with a lingering coffee bitterness. The metallic tang is off-putting.
