UPDATED: JUL 30, 2011 Bottle. Poured a very dark brown with a medium (1-2 fingers) sized creamy tan head that was mostly lasting and had fair lacing. The aroma was moderately strong with the scent of roasted bread malts, mild resin hops and a dark leathery yeast with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, and molasses. It tasted nice and malty with a hint of bitterness and a dose of coffee at first and finished with a strong bitter and a mild sweet flavor that had a hint of chocolate at the end. The flavor that was left did not nearly last long enough. Mouthfeel was medium in body and a little watery yet a tad creamy in texture with a very soft carbonation. Overall not a bad Porter, although it was rather tasty it could of had a little more body for my liking. With that said I enjoyed it totally and it is definitely worth a try.

Bottle. Caramel, chocolate and estery notes - a combination making it rather crisp. Light creamy, very well balanced, with some coffee notes additionally. Not overbearing, not boring. Just very well done.

Pours very dark brown with reddish highlights, with a lasting tan head. The aroma is very nice, notes of coffee, roasted malt, some chocolate and caramel. Flavour has some coffee bitterness mixed with a little sweetness, perhaps from chocolate or dark fruit, something a bit smoky too. Really a pleasure in the feel, the coffee bitter transfers well into a lingering hop bitterness, it has a smooth finish. Great beer.

The beautiful blend of roasted coffee and dark chocolate makes this deceptively light porter far too easy to session. Will go out of my way to taste again.
