3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUL 30, 2011 Bottle. Poured a very dark brown with a medium (1-2 fingers) sized creamy tan head that was mostly lasting and had fair lacing.
The aroma was moderately strong with the scent of roasted bread malts, mild resin hops and a dark leathery yeast with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, and molasses.
It tasted nice and malty with a hint of bitterness and a dose of coffee at first and finished with a strong bitter and a mild sweet flavor that had a hint of chocolate at the end. The flavor that was left did not nearly last long enough.
Mouthfeel was medium in body and a little watery yet a tad creamy in texture with a very soft carbonation.
Overall not a bad Porter, although it was rather tasty it could of had a little more body for my liking. With that said I enjoyed it totally and it is definitely worth a try.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Uba ja Humal in Tallinn (€ 3.90). BB 08.2016. 5.3%. Pours medium dark brown with a thick beige head that retains and laces nicely. The aroma is that of roasted malts and bitter chocolate, hints of coffee and cake. It’s quite interesting, not among the most usual Porter aromas. Tastes quite differently, very roasty with a lot of coffee and/or really dark chocolate bitterness... Possibly the most ’chocolate bitter’ Porter I’ve had. Pretty thin mouthfeel, carbonation thin as well, but at least with a bit of activity. Nice roasty dryness. A good easy drinker, and above average interesting brew.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Uit de fles geschonken. Mooi zwart bier.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light brown, tall, compact and staying head.
Light body, thin texture, aggressive flavors, flabby mouthfeel, low acidity, heat and moderate carbonation, short palate leaving an arid and watery aftertaste.
Very bitter and dry, almost sour acidity.
Overwhelming roast flavors, coffee,
Reminiscent of an Irish dry stout.
