3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 3fourths (6949) - Straßgiech, Bavaria, GERMANY - JUN 24, 2012
LOL at the "Belgian style blonde ale" description. How do they figure that? Pacman yeast, wheat, 2-row, sterling hops, and honey? sounds like wheat beer. okay, so not much to say about this as it smells, looks and tastes the same as the regular (old?) MoM Hefeweizen. the rose petals are impossible to discern. the pacman is musty and doughy and earthy as usual, the hops are low, the acid is medium, and the sweetness is medium high. lacks flaws but also lacks depth and there’s little to get excited about.

Bomber. Poured slightly cloudy medium golden with a short, well-retained white head. The aroma picked up husks, honey, and wheat with floral and herbal accents.. honey played slightly too big a role for my liking. The flavor found another dose of honey plus red wheat at the core.. sweet and bitter floral notes laced throughout.. finished grainy and bitter, with a tasty floral aftertaste. Light-medium bodied and grainy on the palate.. good carbonation level.. this wasn’t great, but a number of things worked.

bottle, thanks to bu11zeye, clear golden pour with no foam, aroma is buttery sweet caramel and plain malty floral flavor
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Ernest (5626) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 17, 2012
Bottle.
Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium to dark yellow.
Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain, husks), with notes of plaster and lemon pith.
Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter, husky.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Phew, what a sad, sad beer. As horrible as the Dad’s Malt Liquor was (this isn’t quite as atrocious), I’m starting to think John doesn’t like his parents, or perhaps parents in general. This is really clunky, with no redeeming features whatsoever. Thin, watery, very husky malt, plaster-and-citrus-pith accents, little disappearing head...not even any evidence of the rose petals/water, and certainly not the honey. Rogue can make some decent beers sometimes, but this one is an utter failure.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 DuffMan (5196) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 20, 2012
Bottle. Hazy golden brown, or dark golden, depending on your perspective. Aroma is wheat and light esters, mostly soft fruit but I guess some florals are in here too (I think I’m being biased by the label-- wow, does that granny need some new glasses!). Wheaty palate, again with some esters playing a minor role, with a finish that is slightly tart. Non-germanic wheat beers just don’t impress me. If your yeast isn’t magical, then don’t make a wheat beer.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 5000 (4974) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JUL 31, 2012
Bottle:   Straw, slight haze, moderate to large frothy white head, fairly nice lacing.   Faint rose on the nose, slightly wheaty, a bit of spiced soap but its minor.   As it warms it becomes slightly mealy.   On the tongue it has a slight rose fragrance, well flavor.   Wheat aspect is there, no real spiciness.   Clean finish at least.   Body and mouthfeel are minor.   Decent little beer, clean American Wheat with a nice little twist.   I bet fresh on draught it would be much better, but as is its decent.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TheBeerGod (4632) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - MAY 12, 2012
Bottle. Slightly hazed amber with a fluffy white head. Aroma is slightly sweet with wheat, honey notes, yeast and faint spiciness. Taste is sweet malt, candied fruit notes, yeast, soft roses/flowers, light honey, grains and grass. Body is light-medium with a strong, effervescent carbonation. Ends with more yeast notes, grains, soft flowery notes, light honey, fruit and sweet malt.
