Bottle @ RBBSG, 2014. Thanks Benzai! Dark brown with beige foam. Soft carbonation. Light roasted with some sweet hints. Bit fruity. Rather flat, also metallic notes. Not very well balanced.

650 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBSG III. Thanks to Benzai! Dark amber. Nose is a bit odd, plain spaghetti / soba, light malt & caramel. Taste is weak, nondescript, soba / spaghetti, touch malt, caramel, faint paint thinner. Med, bit thinner body. Eh, I cannot make up my mind if this is an interesting concept or another one of Rogue’s inexplicable fallacies.

Pours a deep brown with thin tan head. Interesting aroma of roasted malts. Sweet and toasty flavor with mild bitterness balancing it out. The malts are super smooth almost creamy and somehow get the toasted flavor through without additional bitterness. Good stuff if you're in the mood for a dark ale that's not as bitter as an IPA and something thinner than a porter or stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Botella de 65 cl en el lúpulo. Junio de 2013. Lote csnw13 hasta 20-12-2013. Asomas y sabores especiados con bastantes toques maltosos y de cereales y con un cuerpo medio, fácil de beber. Interesante, para repetir.

22oz bottle, on close out at Party Source. Cap lining has weird bubbles on it, probably an old bottle. CLear dark red color, kind of brown. Appears black from a distance. Good thin khaki head, leaves pretty solid lace; good head retention. Medium-plus body. Slightly chewy. Smooth, kind of soft, kinda chewy lighter carbonation. Lightly slick, lightly drying in the finish though. Good dark chocolate, notes of coffee in the aroma. Caramel malt. Pretty noodly, I think, but I don’t know if I’d have called that if I didn’t know it before hand. Moderate sweet taste, light spiciness. Very light bitter. Much better than expected, considering I expected this to be about 2+ years old. Drinking solid right now. Just a mild hint of oxidization in the nose. Kinda watery after a bit.

Pours dark, close to black. Dark roasted malts are the main elements of the aroma. Slightly nutty with hints of caramel. Flavour is nutty and malty as well, with just enough bitterness to balance. Roasty and toasty with a nicely lingering after taste. Tingly carbonation. I expected more though.
