Bottled, labelled Morimoto Black Soba Ale. A deep red beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with nots of alcohol, malt, caramel, and berries - especially black currant. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel as well as lighter notes of butterscotch and smoke, leading to a bitter finish.

Dark mahogany color. Nutty aroma, roated malt. Caramel flavor, with some roasted malt and with an original touch, making it more easily drinkable, more dynamic. I like it.

Side note. I have at home a book about Japanese Soba noodles; it was interesting to find as a reference, in the last page, that one of the few interesting usage of Soba (buckwheat) comes from my home-place in Italy, where they cook it in a wonderful dish called "pizzoccheri".
