ux04 (30), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA Dec 20, 2006 Amazing. My favorite of the rouge brews without a doubt. Beautiful color and delicious aroma. I really enjoy the citrus and spiciness of this beer. IrishBoy (2685), Bakersfield, California, USA Dec 20, 2006 Updated: Apr 23, 2008Ceramic bottle; nose of oatmeal, light caramel, and a little hops; slightly hazy light copper with a big glass-lacing white head; flavor a mix of oatmeal, grain and a little spiciness, hop bitterness comes in a little at the finish (flowery and yeasty) with a tiny bit of alcohol.

Aroma, grassy hops, some yeast, a bit of citrus. Flavor, crisp citrus hops up front, some pale malts to back it up, but some grassy notes on the finish. tronraner (1905), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Dec 15, 2006 Big, expensive, ceramic bottle. Pours a hazy golden yellow with respectable white head. The aroma is fruity hops, mandarin oranges, and sweet breakfast cereal. The flavor is orangey at first, then comes some wet hay and alcohol with slight corn. The finish is grassy and leaves a somewhat offputting aftertaste. As it gets to room temperature, the alcohol becomes more pronounced and more chemical. It’s ok, but not very graceful. Skinnyviking (4142), Copenhagen, Denmark Dec 12, 2006 Ceramic bottle. I like the bottle and find it rather pretty. High white creamy and astonishing long lasting head. Hazy golden body with a good deal of carbonation. As claimed in the commercial description the aroma is floral. I do however also smell alcohol. Dry malt flavor boosted by the alcohol. Not especially bitter though. ohnoitskristin (62), Santa Cruz, California, USA Dec 10, 2006 Poured a golden color with a medium white head. I was very surprised about this beer, I had some prejudgemental thoughts (probably because of the iron chef), funny because while I drank this beer I watched Iron Chef!
Anyway, the taste was very light, crisp and left the palate clean. I thuroughly enjoyed this beer and the bottle presentation was amazing, a great keepsake! emacgee (1859), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Nov 17, 2006 Poured a hazy, soft, golden color. The head was medium thickness and white. The armoa was very fruity and spicy, earthy, yeasty, some caramel. The flavor was very bitter, spicy, and fruity. there was more hops in the flavor than malt. The palate was sharp and the finish was hoppy and warm from alcohol.
