bfeldmann (1042), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Feb 10, 2006 "Nice beer from rogue. Poured a cloudy yellow color. big head which left cool lacing. Aroma was grassy hops and alcohol. Had a sweet honey and alcohol flavor. Carbonated mouthfeel. good beer." ATOmemphis (200), Franklin, Tennessee, USA Feb 3, 2006 Poured a golden color with rich frothy white head. Some lacing. Light smells of hops. Good bitterness and full flavor. Tastes quite hoppy, like a very light IPA at times. Good clean mouthfeel. If I have to drink a lager, make it this one please. thebirdshow (27), Burlington, North Carolina, USA Jan 30, 2006 This beer poured a white head. It had a light cloudy golden bronze color with a definate glaze. A light citrus taste very full flavored. Excellent Pilsner. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jan 8, 2006 Had this at a tasting. 2 oz. sample from a snifter. Beer poured a hazy light yellow without any head. The aroma was delicate and full of light and pretty fruit esters like white grape, green apple, pear and ginger and light hoppy notes of grapefruit and pine. The flavor began lightly sweet and lightly bitter with a long, moderately bitter finish. The body was light, the texture was watery and the carbonation was soft. hopnpop (68), Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 8, 2006 Poured a hazy, light gold color with a rich creamy head. Floral, grassy nose. Initial taste reveals rich malts, followed by coffee, ending with a warming alcohol, hoppy tang. NachlamSie (1630), Tennessee, USA Jan 2, 2006 bottle. Pours a weird, cloudy bright orange with not much of a head. The aroma is spicy with ample citrus, like grapefruit. The body is also full of citrus and a good level of sparkling hops. There’s a bit more bitter acidity in the mix. This is quite beefy for a pilsner. SSSteve (2047), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Dec 31, 2005 fruity hoppy nose. slightly hazy orange color with a huge creamy white head. perfect balance of malt and hops. very hoppy and floral with enough malts to smoothen it out. tastes similar to an ipa. Silphium (2114), Haslett, Michigan, USA Dec 23, 2005 Murkey sediment-laden orange body, thin light beige head. Piney hops aroma, bready, with big chalky, bitter yeast esters. Piney, rather strong hops flavor but a bit oxidized. Bitter earthy yeast esters dominated the palate after a few sips, indicating the hops lost some of their "punch" in the past few months while this bottle rested in my cellar. Bready, with some caramel notes imparted by the barley. Relatively disappointing, but a fresh sample might be better; the yeast is too dominant.
