puzzl (2579), New York, New York, USA Nov 4, 2005 Pours a nice cloudy, unflitered gold with a thick head. The over-hoppiness is unfortunate, because it masks the distinct celery and light, yummy pilsner aroma with lots of hops. Taste is very well balanced, pilsner like yet still holding lots of hops and a touch of malt. A very interesting beer, and more enjoyable for the style. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Oct 31, 2005 Very pale golden beer, thin white head. Gorgeous, perfumy, spicy and citrusy hop aroma. Orange blossom, zesty hop flavour. Soft creamy body. Flavour is hop dominated, spicy, perfumy with a sweet orange flavour coming out. Warming feeling, peppery alcohol mixes nicely with the spicy hopping. All pale malts keep the beer dryer than something like this might otherwise be. Dangerously drinkable as well. Sublime brew. BearBrewer (86), New York, east village, New York, USA Oct 27, 2005 Not sure why people said there wasnt any head, perhaps they didnt have a clean pilsner glass. Mine poured a thick rocky head that stuck around till the end. Lots of lacing, floral hoppy aroma. A little sweet and a little alcohol on the finish, but overall a really nice beer. Somewhere between an IPA and a pilsner but very drinkable. RazingDreamz (123), North Carolina, USA Oct 25, 2005 Didn’t really taste too much like a pilsner, but it went in a direction I like... thick, strong hops. Not much head, though. Fish (439), Kure, Japan Oct 25, 2005 This beer had no head strangely. It looked like apple juice and smelled as sweet. There seemed nothing really pilsner-ish about this beer. And yet, it was good as hell. This was a superlatively interesting beer. A pilsner which is not actually a pilsner. slimweebs (139), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Oct 21, 2005 This is a very good pilsner. I have a problem with most pilsners being too weak and watery, but this one is great. Very impressive flavor,... very rich. I’d definitely drink again. pineypower (1076), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA Oct 18, 2005 Liked the bottle, heafty price though.....pours out a nice somewhat cloudy yellow/straw color with an intense hop aroma. Very thick for a beer of this color however it was a very refreshing drink. Very good on this one outerupt (133), Richmond, Virginia, USA Oct 18, 2005 Updated: Apr 19, 2006Got this one in the impressive white ceramic bottle. Pours a hazy deep yellow and has odours of extremely concentrated saas hops right of the bat. The flavor is most impressive as it must be the most syrupy rich malted pilsner I’ve had not to mention its healthy dose of hops. Delicious with a classic bright white head that lingers like gossamer at the top of the glass. An impressive effort from Rogue.
