Floral aroma with blending of malt. Crisp excellent pils. SO much alchohol, but well masked by the above. Light on tongue, light carbonation. Lace. Even fruity yeast. Dry aftertaste but satisfying. A beautiful bottle with a cap. Enjoy the weekend together.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very pale golden beer, thin white head. Gorgeous, perfumy, spicy and citrusy hop aroma. Orange blossom, zesty hop flavour. Soft creamy body. Flavour is hop dominated, spicy, perfumy with a sweet orange flavour coming out. Warming feeling, peppery alcohol mixes nicely with the spicy hopping. All pale malts keep the beer dryer than something like this might otherwise be. Dangerously drinkable as well. Sublime brew.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 mL ceramic bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with a small, white head. Little carbonation. Great Lacing. This is extremely hoppy for a pilsner- almost like an IPA wannabe. Aroma is- I’m not kidding- pasture land or cow manure. Very earthy and dirty. Taste is grass with some pepper in there. Reminds me vaguely of a good Czech Pilsner- much sweeter than a Czech variety. Finish is bitter and resiny. Disappointing to say the least especially for the price.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a very anemic looking hazy light amber with nearly no head. Aroma is strong caramel with grassy hop notes. Very is very strong and very bitter grassy and peppery hops with caramel and light tropical fruits. Medium bodied with a slightly sticky mouthfeel.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 8, 2013 Soft cloudy yellow appearance. Spicy wheat aroma, with some sweet citrus as well. Crisp and hoppy, IPA-like... more so than a pilsner. Cascade hops are big, and it has creamy mouthfeel but a rough finish. Very drinkable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours with a small, white head that goes quickly, covering a chill hazed, golden body. Aroma is hoppy, then sweet malts, some pilsner grass, and cornbread yeast. Taste is sugary and hoppy upfront with a long bitterness folowing. Creamy mouthfeel. Very ood beer style wise.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught Hazy golden-yellow beer; small white head, some lace. Hops, but less then I’d thought (feared?). American, of course, some honey-ish malts. In the taste, the hops kick in slightly metallic and I get again some honey. Imagine a Bock without the bread taste and loads of hops. Medium bodied, grist slickness. If this is typical, Imperial pils is drier Bockbeer on steroids.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours dark straw (not copper) with a Brobdingnagian head and tons of lace. Hopcit aroma (as expected) with taste of malt, hopcit, and a slight tart apricotty finish. As it warmed the alcohol made itself known, and it acquired a slight harshness and a tad of astringency that I had to deduct slightly for. Great mouthfeel, and a great beer. Worth the price.

Illustrious green hop circles drawn in a healthy, flowing field of hay...Spicy, floral notes survey the calming, mystical formation and detract from the pleasantly subdued residual bitterness...The thriving pulse of ingenuity reaches the sagacious restraint of humility...

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Not sure if it is the fancy ceramic bottle or the Morimoto name that justifies the $12 price tag on this here brew, but either way it’s overpriced. Dark and lightly clouded straw color with a thick off-white head and stringy lacing. Tangy hops and banana aroma. Light-bodied and faintly metallic with floral hops, spice and a bit of fruit in the flavor. The finish is dry and hoppy with a bitter aftertaste. Above average but no way will I pay the hefty price tag to try this again.
