COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Golden in color with a dry hop floral aroma and intense hop bitterness supported by a big malty backbone which culminates into a hedonistic mouthfeel. Yee haw!

Bottle. Sour peach/apple malt aroma. Hazy yellow amber with large off-white head and nice lacing. Apple juice, grass, and caramel malt flavor. Light pine hops finish. A very unique beer - extremely fruity for a lager.

Slightly hazy yellow lager. Starts with a huge, frothy, white head. Dimishes to a very small, lasting, creamy head. The nose is floral and peppery. Jalapeno, grapefruit peel, buttterscotch and caramel notes. The flavor is very malty, but remarkably well-balanced. Up front, the malt is very heavy with notes of butterscotch, caramel and toffee. Nicely bittered. Full-bodied with a heavy, silky mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Long, bitter finish. A great pils!

Tap @ Waldos KC. Somewhat hazy, golden yellow appearance with a fluffy white head. Moderately noble, floral hoppy, slightly grainy, slightly fruity, pale pils malty nose. Creamy, moderately fruity (almost like passionfruit), noble, floral hoppy, highly pale pils malty, lager flavor. Noble hoppy aftertaste. Pretty good.

Bottle (really nice one). Hazy yellow with a nice bubbly mostly lasting head. Malty bit sweet and fruity aroma, which also appear in the flavour along with more hops.

Maria (10214) - Thisted, DENMARK - FEB 6, 2007
Golden with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt and flower. The mouthfeel is oily like a barley wine. The flavour is NICE! Initially sweetish, but then comes the notes of malt, fresh bread, fruit, flower and a nice bitterness. The alcohol is neither seen nor heard, so to speak. It’s a truly nice pilsner, impressing, in fact! 1860

"maltier than expected, but still heavy on the hops and bitterness. Not worth the price ($12) as Sam Adams IP is better. This one didn’t taste fresh. OK."

750 mL ceramic bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with a small, white head. Little carbonation. Great Lacing. This is extremely hoppy for a pilsner- almost like an IPA wannabe. Aroma is- I’m not kidding- pasture land or cow manure. Very earthy and dirty. Taste is grass with some pepper in there. Reminds me vaguely of a good Czech Pilsner- much sweeter than a Czech variety. Finish is bitter and resiny. Disappointing to say the least especially for the price.

Pours dark straw (not copper) with a Brobdingnagian head and tons of lace. Hopcit aroma (as expected) with taste of malt, hopcit, and a slight tart apricotty finish. As it warmed the alcohol made itself known, and it acquired a slight harshness and a tad of astringency that I had to deduct slightly for. Great mouthfeel, and a great beer. Worth the price.
