"an interesting spiced beer...licorice like flavors and aroma? golden with a decent body and a lingering aftertaste. nice, but not worth revisiting unless one is offered."

A wonderful beer with little aftertaste and not much carryover. Good if you are looking for a beer to have in a series of other beverages.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pilsener glass because I thought this was a pilsener at the time I had this. The appearance was a nice hazy to slight orange to brown color with a slight one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There as some light lacing trickling around the glass. The smell had a slight sweet malty to sweet corn to citrus slightly kind of background. Light honey is there but mainly subdued. The taste was mainly sweet with a nice conglomeration of allocated sweet malts. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Would I have it again? Uh. ...maybe Overall, decent specialty grain, hmmm, I’d have it again.

Bottle from Kris Wines London. Aroma is very basic, some corn there but not much else. Appearance slightly cloudy, some carbonation. Taste is fairly bland with some fruits lingering. Refreshing enough but miles off anything worth remembering.

Tap at C4. Unclear amber body with a medium white head. Citric, light hoppy, fruit. Nice and refreshing.

Pretty good. Pours a cloudy, light rust color with a little head and lace. The aroma has mild cereal grains and hops. The flavor is malty, a little nutty, with a mild note of vanilla at the finish.

22oz bottle. On close out at Party Source for $5.50 or so. Poured into a jar-type pint glass. Mildly hazy, mostly clear orange amber color. Good thin, kind of rocky half-finger off-white head, with good retention. Medium-bigger body. Kind of crisp, light to moderate strength carbonation, a bit of a sharp texture to it, though. More dry finish. Kind of a bigger citrusy hoppy aroma to it. Pretty spicy. Some caramel malt, some orange creme, and some wet cold noodle flavor. Not bad overall, aside from the bit of papery oxidization... More noticeable in this pilsner than in the black version I had last week. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, minimal sweet. Pretty dry. Bitter like an IPA/DIPA, tastes like 70+ IBU. Solid stuff to slip on slowly, but the age is showing a bit here, considering how hoppy this seems to be... Black version is drinking much better at the moment. I’m surprised at how assertive this one is... A little rough to drink on it’s own, but very nice to wash my sandwich down with. 6/4/7/3/13
