jameswolfe (141), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Mar 4, 2008 This beer looks almost like a light beer, but thankfully has a decent aroma and flavor profile. The smell is of grain and the taste belies this. Short finish. The taste though is crisp and refreshing despite nothing really standing out. DragonsHead (137), Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 24, 2008 Very average to me. A bit of nut flavor followed by some malt. I expect much more from Rogue. Their other beers are superb though. robforbes (1083), Bremerton, Washington, USA Feb 23, 2008 Updated: Aug 31, 2009old rating:

pour is a hazy yellow-orange with heavy carbonation, a small white head, and good lacing.
smell is of grain, some citrus, a little wheat, some hay, a touch of citrus, dusty, and malt.
taste is oily, somewhat sour, orange peel, grain, malt in the malt, a little wheat, a little bitter, and some nuts, ends a little creamy, and a little bitter. mwelsh13 (483), Maryland, USA Feb 23, 2008 22oz bottle from trade with ketchepillar. Light gold with orange highlights and a light creamy head. Musty aroma from the yeast, imho. Some roasted grain and bread in the aroma too. Crisp bitterness with a bit of grassy hops. Light body, almost watery. Light flavor. Not quite what I expected. Easy to drink. Would be a great lawnmower beer. blipp (1630), Newark, New Jersey, USA Feb 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours very pale yellow with a big white head. Sweet aroma with wheat, hops and caramel. Light body, but very clean and smooth. Flavor is sweet and wheaty, with notes of caramel and a bit of hops. A very easy drinking but underwhelming beer. travita (1851), Frisco, Texas, USA Feb 10, 2008 Pale golden in color with a large head. Pale smell and taste as well. Light hops aroma with some hops in the taste as well. A very light pale ale more like a lager. Soba is interesting I am not sure exactly what it adds.
freekyp (900), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA Feb 8, 2008 I am so underwhelmed. Pours a could maize with a big fat thick head. Things are looking good. Let’s take a whiff. Hmm. I don’t really smell anything. Oh What, there is a bit of nuttiness in there. Let’s take swig. Umm. Where’s the boy? Where’s the flavor? This is a Rogue right. Yup, it is. This is a very mild ale with a balanced but ultimately unexciting flavor profile. There is a bit of nuttiness on the sides of the tongue but that’s about it. Its like a pale ale with less flavor. Try again guys. jezmez68 (332), Chesterton, Indiana, USA Feb 3, 2008 Aroma of spices, and kind of a funky color. Enjoyed on Thanksgiving 07 with a bunch of other bombers. Remembered it having a funky taste. Morimota label.
