| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 8, 2008 I am so underwhelmed. Pours a could maize with a big fat thick head. Things are looking good. Let’s take a whiff. Hmm. I don’t really smell anything. Oh What, there is a bit of nuttiness in there. Let’s take swig. Umm. Where’s the boy? Where’s the flavor? This is a Rogue right. Yup, it is. This is a very mild ale with a balanced but ultimately unexciting flavor profile. There is a bit of nuttiness on the sides of the tongue but that’s about it. Its like a pale ale with less flavor. Try again guys. jezmez68 (332), Chesterton, Indiana, USA

apparently didn’t write any notes other than numbers but I’m guessing it was ok at best. CapedBrewsader (260), Brasschaat, Belgium
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 1, 2008 22oz. bottle: Pours a hazy glowing amber with a creamy thick off-white head. Aroma of popcorn, banana, citrus and a touch of earthy spice. Flavor brings to mind honey covered puffed wheat breakfast cereal. Throw some hops onto that with a touch of graininess, a hint of toast and hey presto you have this very well balanced smooth treat. moseslikesbeer (183), conestoga, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jan 31, 2008 bottle. had this with my friend "afireinside96" and I think he might be right that this beer is not listed right but what do I know. this beer had an off white head, looks like a light tea. smells like a fruit basket. tased like oranges and tangerines. well balanced and great pallet. moderate carbonation. I’m not a big fruit fan but this beer is great. topherh (899), Kearney, Missouri, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 29, 2008 12 oz bottle pours a straw color. Aroma is grassy. Flavor is of a very very slightly toasted malt. Very smooth and easy to drink. Maybe some of the big brewers should take note of this beer. StFun (535), Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 29, 2008 I’ve had this as Morimoto AND as Buckwheat, and they certainly taste different to me. Maybe there was an age/light/heat issue with the Morimoto, but the malt and nutty tastes were really apparent with the Buckwheat, and not nearly as much so with the Morimoto. I also thought the Mori was bitter and more wheatish. Who knows. afireinside96 (826), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jan 24, 2008 bomber bottle labeled "Morimoto Soba Ale" I know this site says that it is an alias of Buckwheat Ale but the a few of the ingredients are different. Anyway, you guys definitely know more about beer than I do.
pours a hazy orange color with a thin white head. nose is of citrus and sugar. the taste is wonderful and is kind of like drinking most beers in reverse. the initial taste is bitter and filled with spicy hops. after the swallow comes the magic though. the finish is of sweet candy and fruit. it is hard to explain but I do know that I will be drinking much more of this stuff.
