Hazy orange/copper coloured, lasting white head. Buckwheat and spices in aroma. Soft, slightly bitter flavour, some herbs. Dry finish. Ok brew.

clear light amber with diminishing medium big offwhite head. honey malt aroma with a hint of nuts and a little orange. light smooth body. more nuts and honey on the taste with a light floral herbiness. somewhat watery. a very light, subtle beer. leaves a nice flower herb stickiness on the tongue. not that bitter, but not really sweet either

Notes: 22oz dubbed Morimoto Soba Ale. Orange straw-colored with an impressive white head. Looks pretty tasty. Nutty, sweet smell with some herbs and maybe even licorice? Sweet almond taste! More nuts and herbs backed up by a bread aftertaste. Very tasty. Ultra smooth and crisp on the palate. Makes it effortlessly slide down the throat. Very different but really nice beer. The soba definitely gives this beer tons of character.

12 oz bottle. Dark slightly hazy golden ale with nice big head. Very floral aroma with some roasted malt. Taste is quite unique. Lots of lemon and floral tastes, but not necessarily like your typical C hop gives off; more grainy. Slightly bitter finish. I actually quite enjoy this one.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium white head. The aroma is grassy with very light citrus and some soap. The flavor is roasted grains (I assume buckwheat), sweet malt, a little hoppy bitterness. Not too bad, but not a standout. A lttle thin.

Decent beer... If there was a keg around, I’d drink it... flavor is very light.. slight fruit...

This is...uhhh..different. Fluffiest head ever...looks like them viscoelastic memory cells Nasa and certain mattresses use...anyway....I got this Beer nailed. It’s a true 50/50 Hybrid...Half Hefeweisen and Half Pilsner...in THIS case, 2 mediocre styles came together to create an above average Beer...

On draught at Bar 101 in Charleston, WV. My choices were the spent keg bottom pour, or the first pull off of a fresh tap. I chose the latter. The pour was cloudy and muddy-amber in color. The head fully diminishes leaving no lace nor retention. Interesting mix of sour cream and sweetness in the bouquet. Flavors of unleavened bread and rice pudding (perhaps from the buckwheat). The pale malts might be a little underdone here, as the mix of former flavors with the unspectacular pale malts don’t add the good toast or biscuit I was hoping for. In fact, everything seems a bit too dry. The finish does seem decently dry-hopped, which adds crispness to the mouthfeel (that otherwise seems a bit thin). It’s smooth enough, I guess, with a light embodiment. Nothing really awesome. In fact, my thoughts are that this offering is not complex enough to be doubled as a "signature brew" (brewed under Rogue Morimoto Soba Ale). Maybe I should have taken the final pull from the spent keg.
