hamrech (22), Carbondale, Illinois, USA Sep 16, 2009 This is an intriguing little beer. I’ve drank it once or twice before long ago but I have no recollection... Not really sure what to make of it. Looks awesome, tastes solid, smells ok, it’s pretty good all around. Very balanced, and very unique. The more I drink it the more it grows on me. The word that comes to mind is simply "fun"; that might sound almost condescending, but in this case it is a good thing. derkaiser (24), Ohio, USA Sep 14, 2009 Recently had MSA for the first time at a sushi place, Rogue recommends drinking it with fish of poultry, so it fit right in... It looks great in the glass, smells decent with very slight hints of citrus in the aroma. Very drinkable too. Barreras (121), Diamond Bar, California, USA Aug 17, 2009 Pours a golden yellow color. A very refreshing ale with a slight nut finish to it. I heard a lot of hype about this beer and I thought it was just average. drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 5, 2009 Bomber into a pint glass. This is one strange cat indeed... and something everyone should try. Definitely interesting, creative, and probably difficult to brew. MmmcKay (269), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA Aug 4, 2009 Sampled at the 8th Annual Music City Brewer’s Festival. Cool beer. Rescued my tired palette after hours of tasting. Light and refreshing. Slightly nutty and wheaty. I could drink this all day. danielcurtis81 (879), San Diego, California, USA Aug 2, 2009 Tap. Pours a deep golden with a light red hue. Just a little white head. Very melony, mostly cantaloupe, medium malt, floral notes, and a light spice. Very flat mouthfeel. A little bit of a hop bitterness. A fairly nice refreshing beer for the track. stchloe (473), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 30, 2009 Its different, pretty good actually, and nice on a hot day. A little pricey though as most Rogue ales are. The soba nut is a nice addition brings out a complex grain body. Looks like a pale, but its much better. shigadeyo (2210), Harrison, Ohio, USA Jul 28, 2009 6/21/2008: Rogue Morimoto Soba is golden in color and well-carbonated. It has a foamy beige-colored head. It smells like grain and raw wheat. The flavor has a light grassy hop quality as well as raw wheat and a little dryness. This beer has a medium-light and is very delicate and refreshing.
22 fl. oz. bottle (12° Plato, 30 IBU, 75.2 AA, 14° L) enjoyed during the Grand Banquet at the 2009 American Homebrewers Association Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio. Rating #680 for this beer.
