Mar 11, 2007 Light Gold Color with Creamy White Head. Aroma is Nutty, Toasted and What I Can Only Assume is Buckwheat on the Nose. Sweet Dry Malt...Alot of Bitter Buckwheat...Crisp and Very Dry Aftertaste..Some Herbal Undertones....Buckwheat Dominating.

Mar 6, 2007 This was decent ale with a fair amount of hop taste. Overall, however, not up to my expectations for a Rogue brew. I wouldn’t turn one down if someone else was buying but nothing I’d go out of my way for.

Mar 4, 2007 bottle - Pours hazy amber-orange with a very thin head. The aroma is yeasty and has lots of spice. The flavor has sweet malts up front with plenty of spices and a hint of citrus. The palate is a little on the thin side. I did enjoy this one though.

Feb 28, 2007 Received for my birthday. Certainly not a typical Rogue beer. Would probably go best with a light meal, as the texture of the beer is weaker than normal. This beer is not very complex and leaves a lot to be desired in taste.

Feb 27, 2007 Light malty and chocolate aroma. Large frothy initial apperance. Off-white head. Good lacing. Mostly diminishing longevity. Clear orange body. Moderate sweet initial flavor. Medium palate. Watery texture.

Feb 24, 2007 Updated: Sep 27, 2008Nice ale after a meal. Finish is dessert-like. A pale amber ale with mild fruit and flower notes. Citrus and doughy flavours blend well. Tingles tongue front to back...smoother than I expected.

Feb 24, 2007 Morimoto Soba Ale pours with very little head and a golden color. Not a strong flavored beer, but finishes pleasantly.
