Pours straw with a thick foamy white head. Grain on the nose. Taste’s like a Czech pilsner, really. Not much aroma, some grain and cereal, no hops detected.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Golden. not much nose. Light tannin wall and then not very much else. Somewhat invisible. An awful lot of fuss for a beer so lacking in character. Sure glad I didn’t pay for it.

This is brewed by Rogue for Ezo Beer up in Sapporo. Finally a nice buckwheat beer in Japan! I still prefer Coup de Grisou but this is a great bitter light beer. A nice orange-gold color, small quickly dissipating head & an interesting buckwheat bite! My wife loved it and thought it was great it was such a low ABV.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pale gold,fairly clear.
Aroma is pretty floral, kind of a spicey-dank skunkyness, with underlying sweetness. Kind of reminds me of a good pilsner. With a pungent aroma.
Taste is pretty pilsnerish, with light sweetness, some dryness, pretty smooth, and kinda slick like.Grassy finish.Seems like noble hops but strong. Some toast and mellow roastyness.Pretty spicey/grassy overall in flavor.Good sessionable beer, fairly easy to drink and still flavorfull. Really reminds me of a hoppier german pils.
