piscator34 (1121), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Jun 19, 2006 Light amber in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are wheaty (a little sweet) with a bit of floral hops. The flavors are of light malt, soap, and a touch of lychee fruit. Medium to light bodied. My wife really enjoyed this beer, but I found it to be a little dull as compared to other Rogue offerings. Not a bad beer. radiomgb (1921), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jun 16, 2006 Bottle. Hazy golden orange in colour, dissipating cream coloured head, think lace down the sides of the glass. The aroma is slightly sweet, grassy and floral hops, herbal, earth. The flavour is of biscuit malts, floral hops, some lemon zest, slightly sweet. Bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium/light carbonation. Finishes slightly bitter, lingering. madsberg (4875), Søborg, Denmark Jun 14, 2006 Updated: Jan 2, 2007Bottled (Morimoto Soba Ale):Golden coloured. Dense beige head. Sweet and grassy aroma. Is light caramelly. Flavour is sweet and fruity with some herbal notes. Light spices. Is thin bodied. Quite dry and citric. Ends on a light bitter note and has a rather short life on the palate. ehhdayton (1113), USA Jun 12, 2006 The aroma is a nice light hoppish with some malt. The color is golden with a small white head. Light on the palate with a background of orange and some malty sweetness. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark Jun 12, 2006 65 cl bottle. Unclear golden colour with a little head. Very light aroma of malt. Flavour of wheat and malt. Reminds me of a wheatbeer combined with a lager-style. Speciel. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jun 11, 2006 22 oz bottle of Morimoto Soba Ale: Poured a musty straw color, exceptionally active, with a gigantic head. Almost a lemony aroma that I did not anticipate. The flavor is gristy, almost pasta-like. Very good body for a beer that is otherwise so light in character. I like it. eaglefan538 (2355), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Jun 9, 2006 Poured an amber color with a decent head. Lacing was weak. The aroma was initially skunky and turned to a funky smell of soba noodles after the pour (buckwheat?). The flavor was somewhat watered down. Finish was lightly hopped. The mouthfeel was light and overly carbonated. Blah. jennajlover (101), Portland, Oregon, USA Jun 6, 2006 Light copper slight wheat bread aroma nice crisp sart in flavor with a good hoppy aftertaste
