Aug 12, 2005 Tried this out of a bottle labeled "Morimoto Soba Ale." Color is fairly light. Aroma is floral-like. Initial taste of roasted nuts. Clean, dry, hoppy finish. Overall, a decent "ale light," certainly non-offensive and easy to drink.

Aug 7, 2005 Great beer with a clean finish. Taste of something close to vanilia. Great with anything light to eat. Seafood and chicken would work well.

Aug 3, 2005 pleasant light fruity aroma with traces of caramel and some hops. Pours a light golden yellow, minimal head. Slight sour taste. Kind of strange. Dishwater finish. Can’t say I liked this one.

Aug 3, 2005 Light amber no head. Intriguing soft aroma reminds me of something I can’t quite place. Flavour is also quiet with a building finish full of a hazelnut taste. Body has a trace of soapiness. Mouth drying without any real bitterness.

Aug 1, 2005 Spicy aroma almost sharp smelling. Pear juice colored with a bit of tea mixed in for a golden brown color. Tiny lifeless head. First beer in a while, but this tastes pretty good. Not much too it. Good base malt with a nice infusion of hop toward the end and some cereal grains int he middle. Still decent enough and nothing off putting about it.

Jul 31, 2005 Interestingly packaged as a ’japanese-style’ brew (in its Morimoto Soba guise)--typical mildness for an asiatic type, yet with a slightly acidic dryness. Certainly appropriate with asian cooking.

Jul 30, 2005 Pours gold-orange with tight white head. Aroma is yeasty, a little bready, and slightly spicy. A little tartness in flavor. A little thin on the palate, but not a bad beer.
