Hops, hops, and more hops. I like the dryness. I may just have to drink a big bottle of water after this one. So damn tasty. Harsh, bitter. I loved it.

Wow so much to say about this beer. The aroma is excellent, full of hops and melded spices. The appearance starts with a ceramic bottle, which is just sweet. The pour is dark dark brown with a thick head. I kind of miss poured so the head was huge. Mouthfell is sweet but smooth. The flavor is tremendous. Very similar to Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, but much more cloudy and thick. A great brew. Very expensive though.

2006 Ceramic bottle, trappist glass, Hops, very nice hops, of the NW variety. Malty, nice dark malts, reminds me very much of Dark Rye bread. even a touch sour. Pours very dark brown, alcohol is not too dominate, pretty good, Very big probably the most flavorful Rogue brew I have had. Big and powerful. I quite enjoyed it. I need to buy another one of these ceramics and let it sit for year or two to see the changes.

2006 EXPENSIVE 750ml bottle; nose of caramel, figs, sweetness, and spices; Hazy cherry brown with a medium but big-bubbled beige head; Flavor of alcohol (this bottle says 11.5%), dark fruit, spices, caramel , and hopbitterness in the medium body, the hops and alcohol lasting to the finish. Could use a couple of years of aging! 8/3/7/3/15/3.6 1993 6.4 oz green screwtop nip bottle from paiste2002, thanks!!! Nose of figs, caramel, and brown sugar. Murky rust brown with a few bubbles, only a light hiss as I opened the bottle. Flavor is not too bad for a 16 year old bottle, caramel, raisins, light bitterness, and only very light oxidation in the background.

12 oz bottle-poured a mirky brownish color w/no head & some lacing. Great aroma, almost Belgian quality. Taste just didn’t deliver. Very bitter, high alcohol, astringent, medicine/cough syrup like. Smelled great, looked good, tasted awful. Long bitter metalic finish.
