Draft shaker pint, at the Flying Saucer in Kansas City, Missouri. Pour is a clear golden with pretty much no head, what is there is off white. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, some muted toastiness. Faint nose. Taste is a nice mix of caramel maltiness and toastiness. All pretty mellow, nicely integrated. Nice beer, very drinkable.

On tap at the flying saucer in KC. Pours a crisp and clear ambergold color with a fingerwidth, fluffy white head. Remains slightly lacy. Aroma of rich malts and Oktoberfest spices. Some breadlike notes and a nice hop backing. Crisp and caramel with a bit of floral tones. Taste is very similar. Breadlike and full bodied. Medium spicy and malty, slightly sweet caramel and fruit in there too. Not as spicy or hoppy as some of my favorite Oktoberfests, but a well crafted beer that was enjoyable.

Comes out of the tap a beautiful clear honey-golden with a decent and attractive head. Aroma is crisp and fairly strong and richly malty with just a hint of fruit. Flavor is satisfying and malty and has a subtle fruity undertone. Texture is smooth and tingly. Not Rogue’s best, but worthy of them.

I had this on tap at Sanctuary in Iowa City, it was called Rogue Oktoberfest, bu I assume that this was the beer. A dark gold to near amber colored body wth a light khaki head on top. The aroma was strong wit fresh bread and some caramel. There was also some almond nuttiness. The taste was toffee and light iced tea. A nice earthy finish with some carrots. Decent overall, but nothing special.

Draught at Funky Buddha. Clear warm orange-amber with small head. Sweet malty aroma is bready. Smooth, clean mouthfeel. Very sweet, too sweet for me but has long body that ends in an acceptable level of sweetness. Sweet, sweet, and just drinkable.

S on tap at El Bait Shop. Pours considerably lighter than most Oktoberfest beers, with a big fluffy head that sticks around and leaves lace. Aroma is slightly roasty with some decent hop floral aromas. Taste is considerably less roasty and hoppier than your usual Oktoberfest, but this does maintain the style with a light roasted malt dominated flavor. Some weird cardboard sort of thing going on, but it can easily be forgiven. Very smooth and easy to drink without a hint of the 7.5, in fact I was very surprised to see that number.

From draught sample at Capone’s. Light malty sweet nose with neutral fruit and some orange essence. Mild grassy hops. Orange amber clear with thin lacing off-white head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts with nice malty character, toasted grain and a bit of acidity. Finishes with decent hoppy character and some subtle pilsner malt. Definitely the Rogue version of an Oktoberfest.

On tap @ Coles Buffalo NY. Part of the Johns Locker Series. Pours a light & clean orange gold. Slight toasty bready aroma but not really much here. Taste has some caramel nuttiness to it. Lacking the smoothness that a heavier malt character would provide. Rather abrupt alcohol/ bitter bite. Disappointing
