This is a really good example of this style from Rogue. Tastes of sweet honey and nutty caramel malts. Just a bit of a hoppy bite in the finish.

This is by far my favorite of the Rogue brews. Not overly hopped (which occasionally happens), it’s a great, balanced, good happy yummy beer.

Draught (Rogue Alehouse Issaquah) pours amber, biased towards the orange side, fairly clear, small frothy off-white head, light carbonation, with light lacing.   Malty & nutty aroma... quite different from most Rogue brews.   Slightly sweet and quite malty on the tongue.   Great body and mouthfeel.   This is perhaps the best Oktoberfest that I have had this year.   Finishes smooth with lingering sweet malts.   I would have better notes but seeing as this one isn’t bottled I got rather upset.   Highly recommended.

Comes out of the tap a beautiful clear honey-golden with a decent and attractive head. Aroma is crisp and fairly strong and richly malty with just a hint of fruit. Flavor is satisfying and malty and has a subtle fruity undertone. Texture is smooth and tingly. Not Rogue’s best, but worthy of them.

Draft at Emerald Coast Beerfest. Poured a dark amber color with a good off-white head. slightly sweet but, not overly so. Nice malty flavor. Smooth and easy to drink. I like Maerzen beers and this is a pretty tasty one.

Draft - at Gravity Head. Malty aroma, as expected. Rich brown color, tightly bubbled creamy head of beige bubbles. Soft on the palate. Sweetens fairly dramatically as it warms. A good one.

Amber color. Aroma is mostly malt. Flavor is malty sweet, caramel. Light hops. It seems to have more alc. than most oktoberfests and not the usual crisp finish. Tasty non the less.
