COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rogue’s annual holiday offering, Santa’s Private Reserve, is a variation of the classic Saint Rogue Red, but with double the hops--including Chinook, and Centennial, and a mystery hop called Rudolph by head brewer John "more hops" Maier! This holiday elixir is brewed with two-row Harrington, Klages and Munich malts, along with Hugh Baird 30-37, Carastan 13-17, and Crystal 70-80 malts, plus free range coastal water and proprietary top-fermenting Pacman yeast.

Sixer that my mom gave me for Christmas. I love her for trying. Taste was about 60/40 malt to hoppiness ratio. Toast, caramel, pine and citrus hops. Slightly muddled almost a staleness to it. Otherwise a good amber.

Pours a murky copper with thick off white head. Light lacing left throughout. There’s an earthy, toasted malts, caramel, and slight dark fruit aroma. Light/medium body that was slick on the palate, with a mildly bitter finish. Flavor’s of caramel, grapefruit, tea leaves, and toasted malts. Was an enjoyable brew.

From a bottle. Pours hazy copper with a bubbly off white head. Tastes like musky, toasted malt, lots of nutty and dry grapefruit hops. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like toasted cereal malt, grapefruit, and musky hops.
