| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 28, 2006 Rich, gold color reminiscent of the armor described in Homer’s The Illiad. The head is white and laces down the glass nicely. Rogue signature aroma. Dry, a leafy hoppiness, and a touch of Wine Gum candy. Flavor has a deep, pale caramel and grainy, malt sugar maltiness with a light hoppiness that persists into the long finish. A solid acidity just makes this beer more appealing. I would never assume this to be 5.7%, but it is nicely balanced and very drinkable. illinismitty (1795), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 8, 2006 Bottle. Pours hazy golden orange. Aroma of citrus hops and hint of spruce. Intial flavor is peppery citrusy acidic hops, balanced by malt flavor of carmel and toffee. Finished dry and biiter with a hint of soapiness. A very drinkable, standard APA. I don’t regret drinking it, but I doubt that i will visit this one again, especially at the price. Note to Rogue, please use your better brews for the charitable cause. You’ll raise more money. zach8270 (2087), Henrietta, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 3, 2006 (bottle - 22 oz) Slightly cloudy orange pour with a fizzy white head that disappears quickly. Mild aroma of citrus mixed with hops and some floral notes. Very bitter taste at the front with a nice hoppy middle and a very bitter aftertaste. Almost sour and cloying at the end. blankboy (3204), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a slightly hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of mild citrus hops and not much else, it’s simple yet pleasant. Medium bodied. Nothing new here but it’s a nice, tasty, easy to drink Pale Ale and there’s nothing wrong with that. GregClow (2496), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Hazy gold with a small white head. Nice aroma of citrus and tea, with some bready malt. Flavour is well-balanced, good malt and hop notes, just not very exciting. Not a bad beer by any means - from some breweries, it would probably be a flagship beer - but from Rogue, it’s just a minor player. tupalev (2612), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Dark yellow, small white head. Subtle hops aroma - citrus. Very crisp, simple hop taste. Medium mouthfeel. Classic American Pale taste. Bland, but enjoyable. How many different pales can Rogue possibly do? jerc (3888), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 16, 2005 Bottle. Orangey body, smallish white head with muted mild hops in aroma. Mild bitterness and delicate citrus. Touch light. Dull but half decent. Might as well call it the neutered Juniper Ale. Not much left. HogTownHarry (4000), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 15, 2005 Updated: Dec 21, 2005Bottle (650ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow, jerc, tupalev - courtesy of yours truly. Poured murky deep reddish-orange with a small lasting off-white head. Aroma of mild fresh orange juice hops with an ok malt backbone - not memorable, but pleasant - gets almost perfumy toward the end. Taste is very mild, juicy, both the malt and hops very muted, almost a bit of chocolate at the end - mouthfeel fizzy, average body. Pretty ehhh - nothing wrong with it, just forgettable.
