Bottle from Rogue, Portland. Cloudy gold/orange. It’s a Rogue style pale ale, bit of sourness on the citrus fruits. Quite light and gentle with decent Rogue hops on end. Fine.

Bottle. Pours gold with a really nice, foamy white head. The aroma is quite hoppy and citrusy with a bit of sticky caramel. It has just a small amount of chalkiness which slides quickly into more defined lemony acidity. The sweetness is there in a honeyesque fashion, but is not all that dense or complete. Notes of sweetened black tea float around. Meh, pretty boring offering. But, I guess having so many different beers they can’t all be winners, can they?

Very hoppy, bouncy. Good to go, but lemony bitter aftertaste a bit unpleasant. Had this while watching trivia at a New Haven bar. Whee!

Bomber split with after4ever. Pours a clear light amber with a lasting white head. Pine and herbal nose with some nutty notes behind it. Light body and medium carbonation. Not a lot in the taste but some nutty, roasty quality before the relatively quick pine finish. A good beer to wash lunch down.

Bomber, acquired and split with BitBucket in an effort to dent Rogue/Issaquah/s inventory. This is a fine little pale ale, though I really do need to raise the temperature in the fridge in my shed: when frosty cold, this beer smelled and tasted like a pale lager. Nice herb-y, saaz-y hop on the nose, along with the faintest gesture at roastiness. The finish brings through some husky roasty malt, as well. As it warms, it picks up more c-hop, and takes on some life. The body’s light, and there’s a freshing, moderate blast of carb there to keep things effervescent and drinkable. A very solid, credible effort, though not the APA you’ll write home to mom about, by any means.

Poured a straw colored yellow with very little white head from the bomber. Nice, crisp hoppy smell. Piney, citrus and floral aromas. Initial flavor is astringent, very hoppy, sticky and citrus like lemons. Slightly wheaty like other American Pale Ales. Much like the juniper ale, but I guess the berries mellow out the flavor in the other as this finish is slightly harsh. Not bad.

Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a smaller creamy white head that left some lacing. Aroma of more of a floral and sweeter citrus hop aroma along with some caramel malts. Flavors pretty much along the same lines. Nothing groundbreaking with the aroma...flavor a little more going on with the hop bitterness and feel.
