Very deep almost black ruby with medium brown head. Lasting & lacing. Aroma.. roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, bit hops, kinda vanilla Sweet dominates. But definitely not oversweetened. Standard, but very decent and well balanced brew.

650ml bottle. Pours an opaque black, with a large tan head, which lasts well and leaves very good lacing. Milk chocolate, Irish coffee, port and cream make for an alluring aroma. Herbal and floral hops up front interplay nicely with roasty malt. Smooth milk chocolate and Vienna coffee create a rich, silky body, with the coffee strengthening to a more bitter espresso flavour leading into the finish, where it blends with a mild resurgence of herbal hops. This is a very nicely balanced stout: rich and flavoursome, with just enough hops to stop it from getting bogged down. A thoroughly enjoyable beer.

DocJitsu (307) - California, USA - MAR 29, 2013
Pours an opaque very dark brown with an Irish coffee froth colored head. Aromas of chocolate and coffee bean. Mouthfeel is a little thin for the style. Not unappealing, just not complimentary of the flavor. Nothing like a good, creamy, viscous fluid to deliver flavors of chocolate and coffee so nicely. A lot of chocolate flavor is noted with some underlying coffee. Coffee bitterness lingers long after the beer is gone. I’d been really excited about trying this one, but I’m disappointed.

Color negro opaco, espuma beige.

Nov 2012 - 100ml sample. Coffee, very rich, v big mouth feel - like expanding foam. Liked a lot. (4) Nov 2012 - full bottle. Slight coffee, big mouthfeel, mild flavour. Not much to the flavour really. I like the mouthfeel, but the flavours are a bit uninspiring. Overall, doesn’t really set itself apart from the crowd. (3.6)

rondphoto (983) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - MAR 16, 2013
Opaque brown-black with a tan head, no lace. Taste is burnt malt with mild bittering that grows through the palate. The finish adds cazrbonation and a light oil texture. Overall, a decent brew, not as appealing as the ratings indicate.

Arôme de chocolat au lait. Mousse qui s’évapore rapidement. Goût de malt torréfié, chocolat, finale sèche. Bonne amertume. Manque de rondeur.

(bottle) pours a hazy darkest brown colour with a frothy light brown head. aroma of treebark, roasted malts and light black pepper, candied hazelnuts and vanilla. flavour is mostly roasted malts and light herbal hops, also quite smoky, with big notes of ash and smoked ham. slightly watery body with average carbonation.

The head is brown, the body black. It smells coffee, chocolate, aromatic. The taste is coffee-bitter, tasty and intensive, roasty-chocolate. Good! 12/13/13/12/12/13
