Aroma is sweet, chocolate, vanilla, a slight boozy smell. Appearance is jet black, light brown head, half finger head. The taste is sweet to start, a little bland but it picks up by the middle with a strong coffee presence. Not much on the sweet flavors, but the coffee presence is nice. The mouthfeel is smooth, perfectly carbonated and lovely. Overall, the beer is pretty good, I was expecting a little more but I’m not disappointed.

roasty, toast, brown, tan foam, light sweetness, lightly sour, bitter. Delicious roasted nuts, burnt toast aroma. Lightly sweet on the lips, briefly sour, extended bitter finish. Brings to mind burnt coffee beans. Competent for what it is, but far to acrid for my taste.

Nitro pour at engine 15, Jacksonville Beach. Pours dark brown/black with an off white head. Not much of an aroma, a little milk choc. Thin, watery body. Light carbonation. It's dry with some bitter choc and coffee. Light licorice too. Dull stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rated from old notes. Dark, creamy, rich, deeply roasted, heavy with an almost acrid bitterness in the aftertaste. Did not think I would like this at the outset, but it does grow on you.
