Bottle 75cl. Black with a fine brown head. Roasted malts - caramel, chocolate & coffee. High bitterness from hops. Soft & creamy carbonation/mouthfeel. Body is filling, could however be thicker/fatter. Good Rogue!

Cask at GBBF 2005 Black. Fresh, roast malt nose with coffee dominant and some chocolate, some toffee. Not too full in mouth but the finish is outstanding. Long, coffee, burntness and some charcoal.

Bottle. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a nice, dense tan head. Licorice, burnt, some smoke-sourness, chocolate, coffee and mocha in the aroma. Burnt, hops, coffee, mocha and chocolate in the flavor. Full body and a long, roasted finish with hops, chocolate and mocha. I find it maybe a bit too hoppy, I like my stout more on the chocolate- and coffee-side, but a very good beer. (070413)

A Black very classic stout. But not boring at all. A good coffee smell, rich roasted almost burned malt flavour. Nice bitter hop and burned malt finish. Just as we like it !!
