3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle (650ml). Poured extremely dark brown (virtually black) with a dense, tanned, frothy head which lasted well. Aroma was of tropical hops with pineapple rings, ripe apricots, roasted hazelnuts, new leather and hints of carob chocolate. Flavor was somewhat similar to aroma with a moderate tropical hop bitterness with nectarines, caramel malts, toast, black coffee and a dry earthy finish with some light hop resins. Medium bodied with medium carbonation, a dry hoppy mouthfeel, slick texture and a great length finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
I bit to much bitter at the start of the taste for me to really enjoy the stout aspect of this beer. It does have a nice taste and smoother taste at the back end, yet it still lacks that full body flavor. Pours black. slight head.

Bottle from the Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Pours dark brown, almost black with a tan head. Nice cocoa aroma. The taste is biteer with light spice and flavours of coffee and chocolate. Moderate carbonation giving creamy mouth feel. Very good

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is a decent stout but I must say, I found it a little disappointing. It has some nice chocolate flavors but lacks the body and complexity that I'd hoped for and have found in other oatmeal stouts. I didn't pour it out, but I'd probably not get it again.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
From 355 ml bottle. Pours a solid inky black with a small but lasting brown head. Aromas of raisins, dates, cherries, coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Taste is rich coffee and dark fruit at the start before a firm roast bitterness in the mid-palate followed by light chocolate and vanilla notes at the end. Gentle milk chocolate aftertaste. Lovely full body with a smooth mouthfeel. Great stuff.

650 ml bottle poured at a friends house. Pours black as night and tastes of a nice strong malt. Little bit of carbonation. Good drink. I’ll have another!

Wonderful oatmeal stout that is very dark and has a nice tan head. This is good for the winter time and the oatmeal gives it a nice complete taste.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
W aromacie trochę owsianki, czekolady, ciemne słody. Czarny, perfekcyjna piana. Bardzo, bardzo kremowy, gładki i aksamitny. W smaku delikatna kawa. Lekka kwasowość w posmaku. Troszkę mało ciała.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Yeah....this is a good standard chocolaty stout, but definitely not the "Best in the World". Taste to me pretty much like their chocolate stout, with a bit more of a hoppy kick. I think I prefer Rogue’s Chocolate Stout slightly better. Only tried them both once...about a year ago, so reviewing this by memory. There are many other similar stouts that sell in 6-packs for way less than this. Not bad to try something new in the Rogue family though. Medium thickess for a stout, not super-heavy. Dark appearance with a mocha-tan head. A very good overall beer, just one of those "Been there, done thats".

Piwo butelkowe w pubie The Horatia. Dla mnie bomba, świetny stout, tylko najpierw musiałem go ogrzać w dłoniach bo butelka była prosto z lodówki. Bardzo ciekawy zapach, taka kombinacja wanilii, kawy, likieru i chmielu. Smak to mocno palona kawa, gorzka czekolada, słodki likier i jednocześnie wysoki poziom goryczki. Nie był aż tak "gładki" od płatków owsianych jak myślałem, ale dzięki nim Rogue jest bardziej pełny w smaku. Bardzo dobre piwo.
