beer_chugger (7), Colorado, USA does not count May 16, 2008 Pours straight black with a nice full tan head that doesn’t last as long as I wish. Tastes of roasted coffee and very little chocolate. Has a bit of sweet finish. A decent stout, but not my favorite. Their Chocolate Stout is a much better brew, I think. elihapa (59), Hawaii, USA May 15, 2008 1/7/08 notes: from tap at Yard House. Pours deep black with small brown head. Smooth and medium palate. First sip was a sharp dark chocolate, licorice, molasses, prune complex flavor. Highly recommended. I’ll have to try this in a bottle soon. ratman197 (2043), Arvada, Colorado, USA May 12, 2008 Bomber poured an opaque black with a lasting brown head. Aromas of bitter chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of milk chocolate, vanilla, light roastiness and light coffee with a smooth chocolatey finish. thenick (476), North Bellmore, New York, USA May 10, 2008 Tap @ Blind Tiger. Pours jet-black with a medium-sized tan-to-brown head. Aroma is roasted malt and chocolate. Taste is the same, with a mile chocolate and coffee finish at the end. The flavors are very strong, but I found the finish a tad watery, which didn’t do justice to the enticing beginning of the beer. It’s still a solid beer, but it could be phenomenal with a stronger palate. smith4498 (174), Miami, Florida, USA May 10, 2008 Pours black with tan head. Aromas of burnt malts and a hint of chocolate. Slightly sweet with flavors similar to aromas, burnt malts and a mild chocolate finish. Full body with inimal carbonation. A pretty good stout.
