Qutie smokey and malty with great balance. There was a bunch of sweet malt in the mid-palate which was rich yet didn’t come off heavy. Another great one for a 4th of July BBQ.

The smoke is impressive, tasty not artificial like smoked mozzarella. Cloudy dark honey color. Soft finish. Felt like like a light meal.

dark golden, hoppy and smoky. Reminded me of smoked bacon/pork, one hell of a kick to it. Defenitaly a unique taste. Sharing a bottle is enough for me. Enjoying the smoked taste might take some getting used to.

Draught. Pours hazy amber with a moderate off-white head. Aroma is light smoke with some nuttiness and light malts. Flavor is similar, heavy on the caramel malts, sort of an amber with a bit of smoke. Kind of an odd smoked beer; the smoke is much subdued compared to other examples I’ve had. Not bad, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it.

Hazy orange-brown, decent off-white head. Aroma is mostly hardwood smokiness with an underlying sweetness. The palate starts with a fairly intense smoke character, but the underlying caramel malt adds nice structure. The finish is surprisingly hoppy, quite fruity and very bitter. This worked for me-- I really liked it.

dark amber color with a nice medium head ... malty aroma and yes can you believe it? a... a nice strong charcoal and grilled pork smoke aroma .... taste of charcoaled meat ... picking up some hops to balance it out .... some earth on the palate ... I think this is the 1st smoked ale I’ve had and I think I’ve fund a new style that I like a lot

Pours copper coloured with an off-white head. Peaty, smoky aroma. Smells a bit like a campfire. Head dissipates rather quickly. Very smoky, almost scotch-like flavour. A very interesting and very good beer.
