saxo (3511), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Oct 25, 2007 Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich with lots of smoke, bacon, sausage and topped with a nice amount of hops. BelgianBeerGal (1275), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Oct 18, 2007 Bottle poured into a stein mug. First Rauchbier for me...and it was very enjoyable. Pours a murky copper colour, almost no head but strong carbonation with big bubbles. Apple, maple wood smoke in the aroma. Amazing sweet flavour with a whisp of warm smoke that lingers. milewide (609), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Oct 12, 2007 Dark amber color. Solid head. Smoke in both aroma and taste. Best of the smoked that I have tried. Floback (333), Naples, Florida, USA Oct 11, 2007 Pours a copperish-amber with minimal khaki head and effervescent air pockets that scream for freedom. Lace is fickle and spontaneous. Nose is mild with campfire wood and malty overtones. Flavors are a tad stronger with BBQ, subtle hops, greasy bacon fat, and bonfire. A slight creaminess and round caramel palate tops it off. Aftertaste of spiced apples from the hop and smoke mix. High carbonation and medium body are off-balanced. The smoke flavor is present throughout consumption. Drinkable, not mind-blowing, but good. GRM (1237), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada Oct 10, 2007 Sample, at the Mondial de la bière 2007, savoured May 31 2007; eye: copper, creamy beige head, clear, no effervescence; nose: smoke dominates completely, concentrated; mouth: all in smoke, finale all in smoke with a hint of bitterness, light astringency, creamy texture, full body, average carbonation, mildly bitter, light acidity; overall: correct

Small, light tan head. Aroma of smoked deli meat, woody malt, subtle earthy hops. Flavor adds some biscuity malt and nicely bitter hops in the finish. Medium body, a bit more carbonated than balanced, too much so. Easy to drink. Decent. mgumby10 (1844), Jupiter, Florida, USA Oct 9, 2007 Pours a lightly hazy dark orange color with a small light tan head. Smells of pretty decent smoke, fire, bacon, and malts. The flavor is pretty smoky up front, but has a definite hop character in the finish. There was some bitterness left obver from them. Overall though, malty and smoky most of the way through. Would be great with some Mexican food. Not bad at all. 1FastSTi (2551), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Oct 1, 2007 Bomber. Pours to a coppery brown body with an airy frothy white head. Looks like iced tea. Nice visible carbonation. The aroma is really nice. Smoked apple wood bacon, peated beechwood, other smoked things. Notes of crystal malts and smoked malts in the flavor. Definite Saaz hops. Kind of like a smoked pilsener if you as me. Some specialty grains make this a one of a kind brew. The palate is drying, lightly tart, and carbonated.
