22 ounce bottle from The Box Bar in Plymouth, MI. A quick pour produced a three-finger, cream-colored head that reduced to one finger in a minute. Amber in color. Aroma is all smoke; nothing delicate about it. Taste is smoky, too, with some malt and a mild hop finish (not the intense hop finish advertised on the bottle. On par with Schlenkerla. Try it.

My second smoke beer. I may continue trying, but not with great enthusiasm. I like the beer on the front end, but I’m not understanding the need or appeal of the smokey end.

Hazy red/brown, with a pillowy off-white head. Nose is quite tangy, with light beech smoke, a bit of bitter almonds. Flavor is lightly sweet, with a very nice light smokiness that lingers on the palate, some nutty notes as well.

22oz bottle-pours a big foamy light tan head and slightly hazy copper/brown color. Aroma is medium malt-smoky, Pac man yeast. Taste is smoky, medium malt, slight spice. OK carbonation. Nicely done, not my style. Nice to try one time. Thanks jwc215 for sharing.

Bottle sampled. Pours deep amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma of smoke, wook, and hops. the flavor is mostly smoke, some traces of oak, with a good balance of hops. Decent body, fair brew.

23 oz bottle Canal’s Liquor’s Delran, NJ-pre rate for future additions. Dark amber coloing, with strong aroma’s of smoke and spice. Possibly one of the worse beers i’ve ever drank. Taste like a barbecue sauce that has been fermented. Just not my style, however aroma’s and smell are enjoyable. Probably good for cooking.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich with lots of smoke, bacon, sausage and topped with a nice amount of hops.

Bottle poured into a stein mug. First Rauchbier for me...and it was very enjoyable. Pours a murky copper colour, almost no head but strong carbonation with big bubbles. Apple, maple wood smoke in the aroma. Amazing sweet flavour with a whisp of warm smoke that lingers.
