Just had my first one today. Has a good taste and nice aftertaste. No bitter after taste which makes me like it. Liked the smoky taste to it, different will try again sometime.

Dark, clear, orange-brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of smoked pork and malt. It tastes like a hop-deficient amber ale and smoke. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Ok.

draft at Coles, Buffalo, NY. caramel colored pour. Mild smoke in the aroma. Seems like a pretty boring ale with a touch of smoke, a smoked amber. seems like it would be an incredibly boring beer without the smoke, however i like drinking it

On tap at flying saucer. Pours a cloudy orange copper with a small frothy off white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is a smoke and pepper. Thin mouthfeel with a very dry pepper and smoke finish. A decent Smoked from Rogue.

On tap at Cole’s Buffalo. Rogue John’s Locker Smoke Ale. Very strong smoke aroma and lighter taste of smoke in this dark ale. Medium body and slight bitterness.

Clear dark amber color with a heavy smoke aroma-like a smoldering campfire. Almost exclusive smoke flavor with some hints of meat. If you like smoke, this is a good beer.

From cask. Pours cloudy orange with a small tan head. Aroma is smoked, meaty and light caramelish. Sweet malty, meaty, malty and distinct smoked. Bitter, dry and herbal. Smoked and dry malty into the finish. Ends dry and lingering smoked meaty.

Gravity cask at GBBF, Day 4. Pours cloudy amber with a dense, foam head. Big smoke nose, beach wood, not dark and roasty, subtle ham and minerals. Medium sweet flavor, some honey-cured ham, smoked cedar, cheese, light caramel and toast. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Great condition. Plenty smokey on the finish but not at all overbearing. The sweetness counters the smoke wonderfully. Bit more honey and caramel, rocks and minerals. Excellent.
