t4h2c0 (63), seattle, USA Aug 12, 2008 Pours dark golden with a thick white head that is very sticky. Strong hop aroma, it almost stings the nostrils. Very strong hop flavor up front that lingers in the aftertaste. More of a bitter hop flavor than aroma hop. Good balance in the aftertaste that ends up tatsing like a very clean refreshing beer while still packing a punch at 10%. Does not age well, this beer was best when first brewed. DA (2376), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Jul 20, 2008 PIB 2008. Pours glowing orange, hazy, with a soft white head. Very big grapefruit hop nose. Hops were fresh and aromatic, slightly sharp on the bitterness, piney note in the finish. Palate was heavy and a bit thick, but didn’t seem to lack floral notes because of it. colemgm8 (363), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Jul 19, 2008 750 ml bottle. this is more like a IIPA for me... an aged IIPA. and it is definitely over-priced. Not worth the $20+ that this one cost.... anyways.... was still very enjoyable. pours a deep red with a thick white head. citrus in the aroma... as well as some aged malts. some salt up front and grapefruit coated hops on the back end. some alcohol on the finish. medium body... somewhat one dimensional overall. good, but not great. bduca (1), Herndon, Virginia, USA does not count Jul 15, 2008 I liked the bold texture mixed with heavy grapefruit. Poured hazy orange. Huge hop and malt combo done just right. Strong white head deteriorating slowly. Great piney aroma right from the first sip to the last sip. Surprisingly smooth at 10% Headbanger (958), Aurora, Illinois, USA Jul 7, 2008 Updated: Jul 26, 2008Bottle(4/25/08)-A hazy cloudy orange with a nice tight off white head. Has an aroma of citrus, fruit, and hops. The flavor is of bitterness with some dryness and malty. This medium bodied brew is very nice tasting.
