Smells slightly sweet of malt and a slightg hop floral aroma. This beer may not have the 100+ IBUs, but it has a hop bite like any hophead woud love. Had this *after* ruination and it has more of a bite. Has a great malt backing and the flavor is among the best. Unsure why the rating is so low... this is a great stong ale that almost seems like an IBA. Very, very good beer, hellbilly (1519), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 21, 2007 Pretty average IPA-type of beer, strong hoppiness in the nose & in the flavor, but nothing really exciting, nice malt backbone, cloudy & hazy light brown appearance, not much head, very little lacing, it’s a shame they wasted such a great milestone on such a lousy bottled beer, I’m sure it was pretty good on draft, but it isn’t in a bottle

Flavor is mostly hops, with some malt and caramel notes. It’s very carbonated and along with the alcohol, sizzled in my mouth. There’s a lot going on here starflyer58 (26), Norman, Oklahoma, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jul 13, 2007 The Dan Journal #79. Tasted 4/11/2007. 750ml ceramic bottle. Clear with a golden amber hue. Two fingers of off-white head. Cookie malts and spicy hop aromas. Touch grassy. Rather full bodied with an intense dryness. Growing dryness. The bitterness actually intensifies as it lingers. Good tingling effervescence. Short lived malts. Intense burning. All hops at the tail end. Complex and attacking. Cloying. This is a big ass beer. Leaves a nice lacing on the glass. The malts start to shine as it warms, but the alcohol is still overt. wheninhell (486), louisville, Kentucky, USA

This beer does not disappoint. Clear golden pour with some oil and a puffy white head. Hops jump out of the glass with grass, wood, and citrus notes. Caramel malt sweetness with the Pacman yeast up front, which soon turn to the astringent hoppiness. Pine and citrus flow throughout. Nice balance to the long finish.
