The aroma is citrus hops and a some light toasty/nutty malt. The beer is syrupy and sweet in the mouth. The flavor begins with toasted toffee malts, then there is a slightly nuttiness, and finally the citrus hop flavor appears and revelas a moderate bitterness. The alcohol is warming. I can’t taste the alcohol, but I can definitely feel it! Rogue 10,000 has a medium to medium-full body and is sticky on the lips. Overall this beer is a nice combination and balance of strong, sweet, and hoppy. It is definitely worth trying at least once. I would buy more of it if it weren’t for the outrageous price (come on guys, the ceramic bottle doesn’t add anything to the beer and it’s totally not worth it!)...

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 30, 2007 Nice mix of citrus and sweetness hiding in the aroma, pours a cloudy amber, with a big fluffy white head. Nice bitter start to the finish, with a bit of sour hiding there, strong bready malts to hold it all up. Moderately long finish, very drinkable, biggest downside is the cost. First wiff smells like a strawberry shortcake doll my little girl plays with. Smell of tons of malt, tons of hops, some citrus, caramel, strawberries, cream, bread/cake batter, pine, spiced fruit, orange peal and light alcohol. Taste of malt, dark fruit, citrus, caramel, clove, cinnamon, rasins, cherries, candy, brown sugar, pine and hops, hops, hops. Great beer. Loved all the malts but loved the hop flavor more. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2007 Bottle. Average creamy off-white head that mostly diminished. Clear flat looking body with an amber color. Aroma of caramel, grain, floral, elderflower, pine, grapefruit, citrus and fruit. Full bodied with an average carbonation and alcoholic texture. Moderated bitter flavor with light sweetness. I thought the alcoholic note shines thought this brew, with very hoppy bitterness. Reminds me more of an IPA then anything else. Still this was a nice beer with a dry and bitter finish. joergen (8523), Frederiksberg, Denmark
