| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 25, 2008 I gave this a 5 on appearance just based on the wrapping alone, gotta love those clunky old fashioned ceramic bottles covered with some adorable cover art. Otherwise, pours a hazy, orange amber with a foamy slightly off white head. Well balanced aroma of hops (orange and lemon) and malt (caramel and toffee). Flavor is more of the same, and I expected a tad more here. Finish was a bit thin, but lasting bitterness is more prevalent than the heavy alcohol. All in all, more bark than bite, but very drinkable. BOLTZ7555 (1080), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 20, 2008 I expected sooooo much more from this beer!!! Other Rogue brews have been incredible (Imperial Stout, Shakespeare, Nut Brown, etc)...this isn’t one of them. Pretty beer with nice eggshell head and tangerine body. Flavor is all hops...too much pine...a bit cloying. Spend your $20 elsewhere. Dansting (222), Overland Park, Kansas, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 18, 2008 Bottle. Poured a clear orange-brown color with a medium off-white head. Good lacing. Nice bitter aroma of malt, hops, and a slight citrus hint to it. Nice full mouthfeel. Flavor is very bitter, with a ton of pine to it. There are also caramel and citrus flavors to it. An expensive beer from Rogue, but definitely a pretty tasty beer. LooseCannon (927), Norfolk, Virginia, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 9, 2008 Pours with a golden-orange body topped by a thin to medium thick head with some lacing left behind. It’s slightly sweet with underlying bitter hoppy notes with grapefruit and a hint of apricot as well as fruity alcohol esters. Medium to full bodied and hot from the alcohol. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 1, 2008 The bottle was dated December 2006 so I am assuming that this is a year old. Poured a beautiful amber color with thin white head. The aroma was a mellow bouquet of hops, not overpowering at all. The flavor was complex and long lasting. The hops were in abundance but well balanced by sweet malts. It was somewhat syrupy and sticky with a dry finish, leaving my taste buds asking for more. Very delicious, but very over priced. | 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Dec 30, 2007 This one falls into my top three favorite beers of all time. Pours a beautiful amber color. The hoppy aroma is perfect and the flavor is awesome, even though it’s hard to describe what notes I’m picking up.
