Bottled. A dark golden beer with a huge bubbly light orange head. The aroma is a bit on the light side with notes of dusty hops, and a bit of fruit and straw. The flavor is sweet malty with a very clean malt profile, combined with dusty notes of hops and straw, as well as lighter notes of fruit, leading to a dry and quite bitter end, where the notes of straw lingers around. Quite refreshing.

(On tap) Clear, pilsener golden with a small, white head. Lightly sweet, fruity nose - reminds me of Bamberg lagers actually. Medium body with sweetish notes of pilsener malt. Dry finish with something that appears as German hops (but is Sterling). 240307

UPDATED: APR 28, 2006 Draught at Rogue, Newport. Hazy deep golden, near no head. Spicy hop aroma. Dryish up front with rounded mouthfeel. Fruity peaches starts to take over midways, the finish is lightly salty. More like a Polish lager than a pilsener.

Clear golden with white head. Metallic aroma which is fortunatly not in the taste. Other than that classic style pilsner. Nice malty/hoppy taste. Crisp, clean & fresh. Nice light hoppy end!

Thanks to OKBeer for the bottle!

Golden-orangey colour. Aroma is fresh, with biscuity malts and herbal, grassy hops. Body is slightly creamy. Moderately bitter, with a sweetish, biscuity finish. Slight buttery note...like real butter, not diacetyl. The hops are a little vague - grassy and spicy. The flavours are well-integrated. More of a hoppy dort than a pils, but either way a tasty, well-made beer.
