3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours an amber color with a fairly small head. Great sweet bacon and maple notes to the smell and taste. This is really unexpected how well this one turned out. High-five to the brewers.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
750 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, well retained ivory head, with some lacing, over a clear dark amber (SRM 13) body.....nose is maple syrup, with a hint of smoke.....taste is light toffee/caramel, dominant maple syrup, light smoke....mouth feel medium, no astringency, carbonation low, but adding a foamy quality. The maple dominates the nose, and the taste. The result is a remarkably mild Smoked which would be interesting to try without the artificial "Aunt Jemiah" syrup. I think there might be a good beer here, but it is hard to get to with the maple dominance. This is one of those experiments which just did not work. BJCP 5/3/10/4/5

Wow, I have no idea how to rate this. Smells like someone poured maple syrup on a camp fire. Looks nice, with a nice amber color and a dense head. Taste is kinda weird, light on the palate with maple syrup, smoke, and some malt. Finished pretty dry.

3.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Smell of maple and bacon with a slight smoke smell. Pours a brownish orange with a medium white head with light lacing. Tastes of maple which is most prevalent and a slight smoke and burnt bacon taste in the back end. Mouthfeel is thin and slightly creamy. Overall it was hard to drink but very interesting. For $13.00 I won’t be trying it again.

Delivered on aroma. I suppose it tastes like both maple and bacon as well, but got all the worst parts of both.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared by badnewsbeers. Hazy medium orange-brown body, thin cream head. Sweet, sugary, somewhat tart nose, with lots of liquid smoke and meaty notes, very odd, like a McGriddle. Body starts with syrup and bacon bits and finishes with big-time smoke, very weird. Thin-bodied. Well, it’s a beer.

Ugh, smokey and very sweet. Flavor sticks to your tongue and lingers like burnt food and maple butter.

From a bottle poured a straw color with a small amount of head. Flavor like somebody dropped a doughnut in a light smokey malty beer.

1.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
This unusual beer has a very strong initial smoke flavor that mellowed slightly, but not enough, leaving a very unremarkable beer. glad i tried it but can’t recommend. Just too strong smoke. Maybe with a breakfast burrito next time? If there is one.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is one of those have to try beers, just cause. Yeah it is overpriced and there is much better choices for smoked beers out there, but hey just to say I tried it. The color is a clearish copper. There was some particles floating around (bacon bits?). The aroma was great. Perfect maple sweetness under a meaty smoke profile...could have been bacon, ham, whatever. Taste was thin and artificial of both the maple and the smoke. It wasn’t horrible, but wasn’t great either. The mouthfeel didn’t help, thin and gritty at the same time. Overall, an interesting idea and fun beer, but not the best by any stretch.
