3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Mahogany colored beer, with an off-white head. Strong, and delicious breakfast aromas of pancakes, maple syrup, and some smoke. Tastes of buttery pancakes topped with maple syrup, sweet bacon, lots of caramel malt, barbecue smoke, and ends on a sugary sweet syrup flavor. I wish the maple flavor was even stronger, as the smoked flavors tend to dominate a bit. Heavy beer with an oily mouth feel, yet it is easy to drink. Very enjoyable breakfast in a bottle. Worth checking out.

Shared by someone at the Monte’s Krown tasting yesterday. Very smoky in the nose. Watered down maple syrup with bacon, pancakes and a drop of the fake liquid smoke taste. Artificial all the way. Fake. Bad.

Poured a cloudy copper with good head. Nose smelled of smoked bacon, maple syrup, and nuts. Tasting was if you were to BBQ a McDonald’s McGriddle... The flavor was pure smoke with some sweet maple, with some bacon flavor. Not really something I would drink again, but had to try.

Promises more than it delivers, but not unpleasant. Should have used better maple product.

Bottle. Pours reddish amber. Off white head. Nose of maple syrup, sea salt, smoked ham, bacon and waffles - basically an IHOP. Taste is mostly faux maple and cigarettes - also like an IHOP. Medium body.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
The aroma is fantastic in that it smells exactly like it should, it smells like maple back doughnuts. The appearance is amber with a medium head. The taste is not like the aroma lacing a lot of what I expected from the aroma. The palate is average. Overall this is worth a try but not a great beer.

high amount of maple flavor, as close to syrup as you can get. the bacon is not as strong despite the insistence of other raters. this is the kind of beer you want with breakfast pastries.

Bottle courtesy of James’s monster cellar at a tasting at his place. Pours a lightly hazed ruby tinged amber with a medium beige head. Smells like a waitress at I-Hop. Cigarettes and maple syrup. Sadness, disappointment, and the failed promises of childhood Christmases. Maple bacon-smoke, old leftover doughnuts at Drunken Dougnnuts. Medium bodied, smoky and sweet. Syrup and smoked dougnuts. Sweet caramelized sugar and strange toast with a bit of toast. Very strange. So strange.
