3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle poured into an English Pint. Pours a clear dark gold with about a finger of white head. Aroma, at first try, is all maple. The deeper I smell, I start to get a good dose of woodsmoke and some bread dough. Taste is light bitter and light sweet. Strongly hickory smoked bacon with some dough and a good dose of maple towards the end. Medium bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a long sweet and smokey finish. Overall, pretty darn good. I’m giving this beer extra points just for being unique and insanely complex.

Oh man, interested to try this. Plus a medium amber with a tiny white head. Aroma of buttery McDonalds pancake syrup, light caramel malts, but I’m not pulling out any smoke. Flavor is sour, butter, fake maple syrup and a bitter plastic finish. Rouge, your beer, woof!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rich amber with a fine-bead eggshell head. Light and pleasing smoke presence, fresh breakfast batter, and a touch of maple in the nose. Taste is only lightly sweet, with restrained but ample woodsmoke bitterness. Medium-thin body is just a touch slick. Soft carb carries an earthy maple-wood note, and a hint of coffee shows up in the lingering finish. I think people were expecting this to be something that it is not. Perhaps an overloaded, ridiculously bold, imperialized beer? Thankfully, it is not. I find it to be a well-attenuated, off-beat but ’focused’ ale with a ’simple’ flavor profile and a modest abv. Since the beer is not overly sweet itself, I would guess it might go very well WITH a Bacon Maple Bar ... not as a replacement for it. Solid, fun, drinkable, and enjoyable. Between this, Good Chit, and Dirtoir ... Rogue has been hitting the spot recently. Thanks guys.

Aroma of maple and bacon but maple flavor takes over. A little watery but pretty good surprisingly. Sure smells like breakfast!

Definite aroma of smoked Bacon and maple syrup. Taste is similar. Honestly would not drink again. Too interesting of a beer to enjoy.

Aromatics are so interesting but everything else is flat! And not worth the hype... It’s water with bacon and maple syrup flavorings! disappointing...

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. What a crazy beer.........pours golden with a small white head. Aroma is smack your face hickory smokey bacon dough character, a but cakey and tons of maple syrup, aunt jamima up in here. Flavor is just as odd, the doughiness is there to some degree, but lacking sweetness. Loads of hickory smoke, and bacon. I actually ate a glazed doughnut with this and it worked, just needs more glaze sweetness to balance all that smoke and meaty character. Medioum body and a crisp carbonation. Crazy beer all around. I wanna try this doughnut

Big smokey maple ham aroma, fairly intense and well... they nailed that. Flavor comes close, could be a bit sweeter, I see why they went pale, to pick up the breadiness of the doughnut, which they somewhat have done. A successful attempt at something very difficult... now I want to try the chocolate Voodoo Doughnut Bacon Maple Ale.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Reddish orange in color... Aroma is smoky and sweet malts... Flavor is definitely as advertised.... Prevalent rauch malts with sweet bacony maple syrup notes.... Almost like drinking a rauchbier and pounding pancakes and bacon with maple syrup.... Interesting beer, definitely worth a try but not worth buying more than one

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Hazy amber, small head. Smokey-sweet-maple aroma. Taste - first and foremost, smoke. Then some bacony-maple-doughy sweetness comes through...ok, guess they named this correctly. This isn’t near as sweet as I was expecting. Also, less body than I was expecting...this is a bit watery. It’s an average rauchbier with a fancy name. Decent but I was disappointed.
