3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The beer everyone loves to hate. Smells like a morning diner with a chain smoker. Taste is burnt smokey bacon with a side of maple syrup. This would actually be fantastic if it wasn’t for all the smoke. There is just too much smoke for me and it took away from the rest it had going on. VERY interesting and under ratted.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared by MrPickles...thanks Andy! - Pours lightly hazy amber with a ring of white head. Smells just like applewood smoked bacon...nummy. I want to smell more, but it’s pretty much just that--and a little maple syrup. Taste is...well, applewood smoked bacon drenched in maple syrup with pancakes or waffles. Wait, why do people hate this again? It’s not cloying or overbearing, and it tastes just like tasty breakfast foods. Thin and watery, but whatever--it’s not a porter. Nom nom nom.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Hazy orange color, minimal head. Aroma is smokey and bacon like. Flavor is slightly sweet, notes of maple syrup, smoke, bacon. Reminds me of eating a McGriddle. Looking at the ingredient list I assumed this would be a smoke overload, but it’s nicely balanced. Medium bodied. I wouldn’t mind drinking this once in awhile, but not for $12 per bottle.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Has a nice amber color with not much head. Has a syrup and waffle like scent, the taste is like a smoked hotdog/brat/bacon.

Clear pale copper small head... Initial aroma of sweeet maple syrup and smokey bacon pungent evolves into less maple and more campfire... sweet maple bacon campfire... too tooo thin needs more body behind it...

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
(750ml bottle) Purchased at Liquor Plus Douglas for $12.99. Pours a reddish amber hue, highly carbonated with no head. Nose is burnt wood, maple cookie and peppered jerky. Flavour is thinner and sweeter than one would expect from the nose. Tastes little like bacon - more of fried candied jowels (orielles de cochon). The burnt palate finish leaves you with with the flavour of a recently extinguished candle. Way over priced and of little value.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Amber pour with big eggy head. Nose is smells like maple syrup with a little smokiness/ Body is really flat lacks any nuance. Slightly smokey, slightly sweet with hint of maple. Gimmicky beer but about what i figured.
Nice label design. Opaque pink bottle.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from Total Wine, performed as expected, the taste is ok, but I find sweet flavors without actual sweetness off putting. The bacon smell comes across as smokey in taste. Share this bottle w/ a few people if you actually want to get through it.

2.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
note as bad as a thought it was going to be. Really odd flavors going on. Don’t like the fact that it has no body. flat on the palate. ODD but interesting.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bright pink bottle (750 ml) on the shelf stands out and screams “pick me up”. Curiosity got the best of me so I had to try it. Pours an amber color with a small off white head. The aroma is a dominant maple, smoked maplewood bacon and malt. The sweetness can be a little over powering. Better as a group sampling. 5oz. is about all I really wanted from this beer. Thin mouth feel and a short finish doesn’t help. Feels like a “gimmick beer”.
