750 ml pink painted bottle via local trade. Pours a semi-cloudy deep amber color with a small, lasting off-white head. Aroma of bacon, brown sugar, campfire, toffee, syrup- sugary and smoky. The flavor is the same, but not as smoky- more sweet, really. Medium-bodied, with a syrupy, smoky moutfheel and moderate carbonation. Why does everyone hate this so much? It delivers exactly what it promises. I liked it.

Sampled at the StL RB gathering. It poured a brown color with an off-white head. The aroma was of smoked meats and maple syrup. The taste was of smokey bacon with sweet maple syrup. Glad we shared this one.

Bottle. Amber beer with a dark cream colored head. Bascon and sweet malt aroma with maple. Sweet malt and maple flavor with bacon. Medium bodied. Sweet malt and maple lingers with sugar and light bacon.

Pours a hazy deep amber colour with a medium rocky white head. Aroma is a mix of caramel malts and maple syrup with a pronounced smokey, bacon scent as well. Taste is not overly sweet or bitter but there some smokiness that comes through, somewhat understated, the maple is most present in the aftertaste. Medium body, smooth mouth feel and soft carbonation. Overall a good beer that is unique.

Thanks to Black13 for this. The 22oz pink bottle does not have a "bottled-on" date. Poured into a crystal, stemmed water glass. Appearance- I fully expected this to be a lot darker. Porter-like is what I was expecting. But, instead, it is a caramel/reddish color. Light tan head the dissipates quickly. No lacing. Smell- Sweet cola aroma from far away. Maple donut dominates with a imitation smoke flavor in the background. The smoke aroma, although small, is not pleasant after a minute. Taste- Here is where the smoke takes over. Not in a good way. The sweet maple donut that was in the aroma is in the background this time. Shame. The smoke makes this a beer that is only interesting in very small doses. A little goes a long way. The after taste is atrocious and stays with you long than you wish it to. Mouthfeel- Not a thin mouthfeel per se, but I think it would benefit from a little more feel. Overall- A novelty of a beer for sure. That is about it. I would not recommend. I have had the maple bacon donut and liked it, but I think that is because it had actual bacon on it and not an imitation smoke flavoring that you buy at the grocery store drizzled on top. The label says it is brewed with bacon, and smoked malts, but it comes out as an imitation flavor.

A bit of an redish copper with an average head. I was very excited for this beer and I have been waiting a long time to get one. At 13$ a bottle plus heavy shipping it is very over priced. I find this beer to taste oddly sweet and doughy with a smokey pork taste.

Other than the ratebeer and beer snobs how else does a brewer get such a price for a subpar tasting bre. Well standout aroma of doughnut and maple. Amber body with decent head. Flavor has a mouthfull of sweet maple syrup but no bacon. Alright on palate as the smoke took some sweetener away from it with mild biters. Alright brew.

Bottle, medium amber golden pour. Smells like heavily maple syrup dosed pancakes with a side of bacon. Sweet maple flavor upfront with lingering bacon smoke flavor. Interesting and very unique

750 ml bottle from BevMo - Pours an amber color with a one finger thick off white head. Very light lacing. Aroma and flavor is sweet maple and smoke. Finish is smokey and slightly sweet. Medium body. I like it.

Bottle. Amber colored pour with some off white head. Aroma is smoky, sweet bacony, and some vanilla extract. The flavor is much less powerful than the aroma and sort of flat with an unpleasant aftertaste. It’s kinda gross tasting.
