Amber pour with big eggy head. Nose is smells like maple syrup with a little smokiness/ Body is really flat lacks any nuance. Slightly smokey, slightly sweet with hint of maple. Gimmicky beer but about what i figured. Nice label design. Opaque pink bottle.

Bottle from Total Wine, performed as expected, the taste is ok, but I find sweet flavors without actual sweetness off putting. The bacon smell comes across as smokey in taste. Share this bottle w/ a few people if you actually want to get through it.

note as bad as a thought it was going to be. Really odd flavors going on. Don’t like the fact that it has no body. flat on the palate. ODD but interesting.

Bright pink bottle (750 ml) on the shelf stands out and screams “pick me up”. Curiosity got the best of me so I had to try it. Pours an amber color with a small off white head. The aroma is a dominant maple, smoked maplewood bacon and malt. The sweetness can be a little over powering. Better as a group sampling. 5oz. is about all I really wanted from this beer. Thin mouth feel and a short finish doesn’t help. Feels like a “gimmick beer”.

Bottle at Scott and Kate's. Aroma was mostly maple smoke and some bacon. Flavor is almost exactly like a maple-glazed donut, but a hint of bacon still comes through. It's amazing to me how uncanny these flavors are, considering the ingredients. Not a beer where I could drink the whole bottle. Very unique and off-the-wall, novelty beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle pours a hazy amber/orange with a large off-white head. Aroma of maple syrup, sweet dough, slight smoked malt under all the sweetness, and cream soda. Certainly smells like an inviting breakfast, but not a beer. If the taste were more in line with the aroma this might be decent. However, it is not. There are no distinct flavors in the taste just bland sweetness follow by nondescript smoke and ending with a rather gross bitterness, and a lingering over cured rotten bacon flavor. Enjoyable aroma, otherwise pretty gross.

750ml brown bottle. Golden pour, hazy, fat white creamy cap. Mapley nose with a bit of underlying smokiness. In the mouth the beer has some sweetness - caramel and maple, also woody, smoky, meaty, toasty. Light hops at the end. Lingering wood and smoke aftertastes and a little deep throat bitterness. Body and carbonation seem average. Interesting bacon cooked over the campfire mixed with beer. I like it.

Bottle - A bready aroma with a punch of maple, not very complex and will permeate a room. Cloudy brown. I get the bready yeast and maple, but the bacon is lost to me, although those around me swear it is there. Sticky on the palate and overall an interesting beer but not a great one.

750 ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a translucent amber color with a small beige head that soon recedes to a film. The aroma is sweet with maple syrup and some light sweet smoke. The flavor is dominated by the maple syrup, the smoke is very light and hardly noticeable, and there is some nutty hoppiness rounding out the sides and the back. The palate was a bit thin and unsatisfying, and the carbonation was lively. Finishes long and sweet, and I also pick up a weird metallic taste-aftertaste. Overall: Not nearly as complex as I imagined this could be, and the mouthfeel was thinner than I prefer. Decent, but too sweet and not enough smoke. I’d buy again if the price was cheaper.

Bottle from the brewery in Portland. That is a different beer. The bacon and maple almost would be better for breakfast. Crazy pink bottle. Sweet smooth start as well as lingering taste. Syrupy aftertaste. One of the weirdest beers ever but worth the try. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
