Very hazy amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Remarkable maple and bacon nose! Smooth palate with fine carbonation. Semi dry. Taste follows the snout - semi sweet maple with mild smoky bacon. The maple dominates. There are lesser notes of malt cream and hops but this beer really does what it says on the tin. Sweetish dry finish with mild minerals. A unique and tasty beer and an antidote to po faced over seriousness about beer! A few points off for drinkability - could not drink loads.

Bomber from ericandersnavy. Pours copper with a creamy/foamy beige head. Aroma is like maple smoked bacon or bacon and maple syrup. Near medium body. Starts a bit smoked then goes a bit maple sweet. It’s almost a bit too much. I mean I tend to like smoked, but the beer may be a little too lightweight to carry this much smoke.

Bottle. Poured hazy dark brown with an average light brown frothy head that was mostly lasting with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy smoke, maple, bacon and toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium toasted sweet maple and smoke flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Complex good beer.

A mber ale with a thick mocha head. In aroma, a mix of chemical vanilla, bacon extract, alcohol, butter, cloying. In mouth, a sweet peaty malt with fake vanilla, maple, so-so. Tasted at GRMs tasting.

Bottle… Hazy ruby/burnt-orange ale with a small, white head. Smells like a glazed doughnut smothered in maple syrup and crumbled bacon – very smoky bacon. Medium to full-bodied with tingly carbonation. The flavor is actually pretty well-balanced with a hint of smoky bacon drenched in maple syrup. Sufficient bitterness. Finishes coarse, dry and mildly bitter. Weird, but I dig it. Worthy of note: I’m the only person at this particular tasting that enjoyed it.
