2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Nose: smoked bacon slight hints of maple. Taste: very strong notes of bacon almost dog-treatesque. Overall: very interesting and unique yet quite filling and not worth the money paid for it.

1.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle: Dense amber, lightly hazy with a decent sized, yet quickly fading white head. Aroma is amazing, smells like fresh, applewood smoked bacon drizzled with warm maple syrup & perhaps even candied slightly with brown sugar. I do not understand how things go so awry, but the flavor is god awful. All you can taste is smoke. Not good smoke... More like cigarette smoke. Over carbonated to hell, so each sip is sharp, astringent, & full of insanely bitter, palate raping ashy smoke. Hints of caramel... barely any maple. 98% ash-tray smoke. Not good. Amazing aroma, yet one of the worst tastes ever. What the hell?

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Very Woody campfire smell. Way too strong. Hints of maple but it's overpowered by the campfire bacon smell. An interesting idea for a beer just not well executed.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at Øltorget, september 3rd 2013. Wow, a big pink bottle with the words Voodoo, Doughnut and Bacon on? Of course I had to! Unclear dark brown body, large beige head. Aroma of smoked bacon, maple (no surprise there?), nuts, blackberries. The smoked bacon is really pleasant, though the whole aroma is very ...special. Taste is on the sweet side, vanilla and syrup, guess that’s where the doughnut joins the party? The bacon is more subtle in the swallow, allowing a caramel and light peat taste to dominate. It’s below medium carbonated, with a thick body. Light bitterness, though it has a rather dry aftertaste. A really strange one this, I do like it, however it’s definately a bottle for sharing, as we did. Would score high if awkwardness was a category.

0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Pours a swampy burnt sienna color with a finger of gaseous foam. The beer is absolutely disgusting. Aunt jemima syrup mixed with I cant believe its not butter spread on stryofoam aged shitty mcdonalds pancakes that sat on top of the motel television for two weeks to give the cockroaches fair game... but they didn’t touch it so we mashed it with some shitty brown ale and strained it through some used ripped pantyhose found in the bathroom of said motel. Bottled up in an old pepto-bismol bottle and then had some tattoo shop across the street make a hip label to cover up the original contents of the bottle. Joke of all joke beers.

1.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Bottle shared by Lukaduke because no one deserves to suffer through this alone. Nose is sweet artificial maple syrup, Aunt Jemima. Taste is syrupy maple, extremely sweet, like drinking out of the syrup pitcher at a greasy spoon diner. Finish is sticky sweet artifical maple syrup. It did make me want some pancakes. Good god was this awful.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAR 3, 2014 Appearance: Slightly hazy amber with 2 finger thick ivory head.
Aroma; Smoked malt, wood, the smoke of a wood fire, hint of smoky bacon, vanilla and maple syrup.
Taste: Medium bitter and sourness, slight sweetness and saltiness.
Palate: Thin coarse texture, light body, average carbonation, lingering dry smoky, sour, bitter finish with undercurrent of maple sweetness.
Comments: Tasty and glass lace. Certainly an interesting take on this style of beer.

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle. Pours a clear amber body under a small fizzy white head that faded to a thin film rather quickly. The nose is rather sickly sweet with maple syrup. The smoke is fairly noticeable as well, but the maple is just crazy overpowering. Smells like a glass of Log Cabin syrup. The flavor is hands down one of the grossest things I have ever put in my mouth. Awful artificial maple syrup backed up by a smoky and acrid burnt bacon flavor. This sounds like something and evils genius would come up with, but it’s just the evil part that comes through. Sticky and clingy body with fizzy carbonation and a long lingering finish. Beers don’t get much worse than this one. This is just horrid. I can’t ever imagine having all 22 oz of this beer. If say a good 19 oz of this bottle will be going down the drain. Wow.

Sample from 75 cl. pink bottle. Cloudy amber colour with a small, off-white head. Sweet, smoked aroma with caramel malts, maple syrup, fruits and honey. Taste is sweet. Medium body. Dry finish with bacon, caramel malts and fruits. Rather messy, but not without charm.
